I am trading a prop account through Rithmic and copy trading 4 other accounts. I was in a trade with a bracket order for TP and SL. The price went well through my TP but but my position did not close, price then rapidly reversed direction and went through my SL also and still did not close. I hit flatten and cancel all and it still did not close my position until about 15 seconds later after I lost 39 points when I should have made 7.5. The Trade Activity says canceling of order is being delayed. I know there is nothing I can do about this loss but how do I make sure this doesn't happen again? Please let me know if you need to see my trade activity log. Thank you

This is a Rithmic issue. There is nothing that can be done on the Sierra Chart side for it - Rithmic simply do not respond properly.

But, check what actually occurred with your trade with your Prop Firm. The Stop and Target should be held by Rithmic (unless you are using a specific Client-Side Stop and Target), in which case it should not matter if Rithmic did not respond properly, your trade should still have closed out when the Target was hit, as Rithmic should have handled this situation.

You may need to adjust your Order Fills in your Trade Activity Log, depending on what actually occurred. Refer to the following:
Trade Activity Log: Edit Trade Activity Entry

Trade Activity Log: Manually Inserting Missing Order Fills

The issue occurred again several times where my system froze when entering and exiting orders. I reduced the amount of studies and reduced system draw. It still was glitchy, so I disabled Order Allocation to Trade Accounts and it seems to have resolved the issue when trading with single accounts only. Do you know why this might be? Is there something I can do to be able to copy trade and it not freeze? I know this is not normally an issue, just not sure why its happening on my machine. Thanks

We have no idea why this would be the case. The process of copying orders to other accounts is very straightforward and should not be causing an issue with the system.

Did the system actually freeze, or was it a lack of updates regarding the orders? Were you able to interact with the system, such as selecting a menu and having it open, or did it completely lock up?

If the system was completely locked up, then we recommend going through the items at the following link, which is everything we know about improving performance:

Regarding this:
. The Trade Activity says canceling of order is being delayed.

This would impact the transmission of the market order to flatten the position. Check this setting:
Global Trade Settings Windows: Hold Market Order Until Pending Cancel Orders Are Confirmed (Global Settings >> General Trade Settings >> General)

Make sure it is set to No.

Why there was a delay with canceling the order we do not know. We would have to see the Trade Activity Log to find out.

In case anyone ever has the same issue, it seems the Rithmic alerts/trade confirmations (pop-up bubble windows) on R Trader Pro were causing my pc to lock up momentarily after each trade until the windows disappeared. I disabled them in RTrader Pro under Window>Preferences>Alerts and checked all of the boxes to suppress alerts and that seems to have resolved the issue.

Thanks

Lol, you can be sure that these pop-up bubbles were not the problem, the problem is that you're running R-Trader Pro, while you connect Sierra. You're not allowed to connect to 2 platforms at the same time and SC doesn't support the "plug-in mode", so you've to close R-Trader Pro

Post #7 would seem to make sense to us. We were wondering about what was said at post #6, and thought that kind of behavior was odd.
