I recently upgraded to version 2899 and enlarged one of the charts in a chartbook. When I went to shrink it and return to the chartbook, it made that chart somewhat smaller, but all the other charts are lost.I do not know how to get my chartbook back.

If you updated from an older version (about 4 months or so back), then at least part of what you are seeing is due to changes we made to the "MDI Windows Interface". These are the windows that are contained within the main Sierra Chart window itself - it does not apply to detached charts. Refer to the following for some information on these changes: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/Whats_New.php#SCVer2867 One of the items, in particular, is the following setting: General Settings Window: MDI Child Window Minimize Method (List) (Global Settings >> General Settings >> GUI >> Multiple Document Interface (MDI) and Custom Title Bar Settings) It sounds like this may be set to "Minimize in Place" which is why the window got "smaller". You may want to try the other options to see what works best for you. As to missing charts - select the "CW" menu and see if the charts are listed there. If so, then select the chart from there to have it display. Otherwise, if all your charts are not present, then do not save the chartbook in version 2899. You will need to update to the latest Pre-Release version (2902) in order to get everything back properly (we found an issue in 2899 that could affect some users, although we have only had 1 user report a problem so far). To update, follow these instructions: Software Download: Fast Update Again, when asked to save your chartbook for the update, do not do so. Keep it as it was prior to the update to 2899. I just installed version 2902 and the same thing happens. once I enlarge a chart in a chartbook and the try to return to the chartbook, I am left with only that one chart on the screen.

Did you select the "CW" menu item and see if the other charts are listed there? And we are not really understanding the workflow you are describing. You "maximize" a chart and what you mean by "to to return to the chartbook"? Yes ,all the charts are listed in the windows and chartbooks. the process I am describing is if you have a chartbook with say six charts open, and then you click on one of the charts to enlarge it to the full page, you can no longer return it to the chartbook. the chartbook now only shows that one chart. |
