To get an Initial Balance from 08:00 to 14:00, you would need to use an Intraday chart. To know if you are using Intraday data or Daily data, look at the setting for "Chart >> Chart Settings >> Data Limiting >> Chart Data Type". Refer to the following: Chart Settings: Chart Data Type (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Data Limiting >> Date Range and Limiting Method) Getting the data for just a single day each week (Monday) and from certain times from that day will take a bit of manipulation, as there is not a direct way to do this (the Initial Balance study is setup to use full days for weekly charts). Let us know how you are wanting to view the Initial Balance, so we can give you information on how to approach this. Hi there, I can confirm i'm using an intrada chart already.. data limiting set to "date range" which is a previous monday, and bar period set to 7 days. Having the initial balance from 8am GMT- 18:00GMT Monday is what i'm looking to do. Thanks |

How are you wanting to display the data from that time? Do you want lines across the chart, do you want them displayed as just numbers on the chart? Something else?

Attached is a Study Collection that we put together that gives you what you are looking for. The only thing you may not want is that the lines will carry forward for all weeks through the end of the chart. If you only want the current week, then adjust the "Number of Days to Calculate" in the "High/Low for Time Period" study to be 7. Refer to the following for how to use a Study Collection provided by us: Study Collections: Using a Study Collection Provided by Sierra Chart Support One other item of note. You would need to set the Bar Period to be some value that divides evenly into the times for which you want the Initial Balance. For instance, if your initial balance is from 08:00 to 18:00, then you would need a bar period of 10 hours (assuming 08:00 is a start of a new bar) or 1 hour or 30 minutes. But 4 hours will not work. Depending on how you are setting up your chart, you may need a separate chart and then overlay the results of the studies we gave you to the weekly chart you are viewing. What we gave you is a Study Collection. It contains multiple studies. Refer to the following for how to use it: Study Collections: Using a Study Collection Provided by Sierra Chart Support You will then overlay the one study in the collection that actually displays the lines you want. There is a lot that goes into why you are not able to see the lines, including the fact that these are special "extension" lines and that a "line" needs to have at least two bars to display. Is the chart you are overlaying to a weekly chart, so one bar per week? And you want to see the lines from Monday on each single bar? Or is it a daily chart, with one bar per day? Yes it’s a weekly VP chart set to bar period 7 days. I’m not sure what you mean by single bar? Thanks |

I’m not sure what you mean by single bar?
You have 1 bar that represents the full week. It sounds like this is what you are displaying. Since you have a single bar for each week being displayed. In this case, you will need to set the Draw Style for the subgraphs in the Study/Price Overlay to be "Dash". This way you can actually see them in that single bar in which they are contained. Keep in mind that you will first need to change the Input for "Use Styles and Widths from Source Chart" to "No" and then select "Apply" before you will be able to actually change the Draw Style.
