I fell asleep and clicked on something that replaced my elaborate Custom Control Bar #1 to a Default Tool bar. How can I find and get back my Toolbar? Thank you. |

The first thing you want to check is that you actually have the toolbar displayed that was customized, and not some other toolbar. Then set the correct toolbar to display as you want. Otherwise, if the actual toolbar has been changed/reset. Then you can recover it by restoring your global configuration file (Sierra4.config) from a backup. Refer to the following: Resetting Sierra Chart to a Default State / Restoring Backup Global Configuration File: Restoring Backup Global Configuration File For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

I have always used only Customize Control Bar 1. It is the one that I somehow changed to the Default. I thought followed the instructions correctly but obviously did not, with these consequences: 1. All 27.Sierra4.config files are no longer in Backups, the earliest one is 31.Sierra4.config 2. In the Data folder there are two: 26.Sierra4.config and... Sierra4.config.new The Tool Bar is still the Default. I am afraid to do more damage. Thank you. |

The numbers in front of the files in the Backup folder for Sierra Chart is the date of the month. So you would want to go backwards starting from number 27 (today's backup, if there is one) and find the most recent backup of the "Sierra4.config" file. Do the following with Sierra Chart not running. Then copy that file to your main Sierra Chart installation folder (typically C:\SierraChart). Then save the existing Sierra4.config file by changing the name or extension - such as "Sierra4.config.sav". Then change the name of the backup file you copied into that folder by removing the number up front. For instance, if you copied the file named 26.Sierra4.Config, then remove the "26." to leave "Sierra4.config". Then start Sierra Chart again and see if everything is as it should be.
