Hi Sierra Chart Support, I’m trying to connect to Rithmic in Sierra Chart using Rithmic credentials that were issued through Bookmap (I purchased the Rithmic data/access via Bookmap). Sierra Chart returns a “Permission Denied” error when I attempt to connect. Bookmap support reviewed my case and advised that this may be related to Sierra not supporting Rithmic usernames/passwords that are 32 characters or longer, and that I should contact Sierra directly. Could you please confirm: Whether Sierra Chart’s Rithmic service has a 32-character limit for the Rithmic username and/or password (or any similar credential length limitation), and If so, what the recommended solution is on Sierra’s side? This is correct. There is a limitation on the character limit for Usernames and Passwords with Rithmic. It says, ‘You need to request your broker or trading services provider to change these to a shorter length,’ but I already reached out to Bookmap and they forwarded me to you.

you should also know that SC doesn't support "Rithmic plug-in mode", so you cannot connect both platforms at the same time

If either the Username or Password is longer than 32 characters then you would need to change that item. You would need to do this either with Rithmic or the company that issued you the credentials. There is no way to change this in Sierra Chart.
