Inability to add funds in sim account

Hi support! I have bought the monthly integrated package for $46. I want to trade in Sim first. I've set up everything, but I'm struggling with adding/managing funds in the sim account. I've followed all the instructions from here Simulated Futures Trading Service: Setup Instructions But still when it comes to the last step which is 14. On the Trade >> Trade Accounts Monitor window, you will see the account listed. I don't see any account at all. I'm struggling because it prevents me from starting anything, and losing precious time that I paid for. Really appreciating your swift assistance! |

You need to understand that there are two different simulation environments available for Sierra Chart. One is the built-in Simulation Mode, which is used when the option for "Trade >> Trade Simulation Mode On" is enabled (has a checkmark next to it). In this case, there is no account balance. This simulation mode allows you to trade whatever you want, and you can keep track of how you did based on the profit/loss. Refer to the following: Trade Simulation The other option is the "Simulated Futures Trading Service" also referred to as the "Trading Evaluator". This allows you to set an account balance and it adjusts based on your Profit/Loss and setup. Refer to the following: Simulated Futures Trading Service In order to adjust the parameters of the Simulated Futures Trading Service, you need to setup an account first. This is done in Step #8 of the instructions you reference. If that is not working for some reason, then let us know. Also, there are two options for the "Trading Evaluator" in the "Current Selected Service". One for real-time data and one for delayed data. Since you are not setup to get any data from our Denali Exchange Data Feed, you need to be connecting to the delayed version of the trading evaluator. Many thanks for your reply. 1) I did EVERYTHING from Step #8 onwards. And that's exactly my problem. After doing that, I don't see that newly created account or any account on the system to be able to adjust/add balance. 2) Also, with my integrated package for $46, am I not getting live Denali data? 2) On the Integrated package you have the ability to get the data, but you still need to setup and pay for the exchanges for which you want real-time data. What are the exchanges for which you are wanting real-time data? Keep in mind that if you are not setup to get the real-time data, then you need to connect to the "Trading Evaluator - Delayed". 1) At step #8, you are creating an account. When you do this, the account should be showing in the list. You then have to select it to be able to edit it. Is the account showing in the Trade Account Monitor after you create it from Step #8? Then you can edit that account by following the rest of the steps. Are you stating that the account will show, you will edit it, and then after you return, there are no accounts showing in the Trade Account Monitor? Are you stating that the account will show, you will edit it, and then after you return, there are no accounts showing in the Trade Account Monitor? Right! I can edit it like setting the currency, margin requirement and all settings in the main tab. Then I press commit. Message is: Successful. But then the account doesn't show in the Trade Account Monitor. BTW, I see when creating the account that it shows 'read only'. Anything related to that issue? Million thanks |

Please do the following for us: - Set "Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Main Settings >> Current Selected Service" to "Trading Evaluator - Delayed". - Select OK to close that window - if you are prompted to update the symbols, then answer "Yes". - Select "Trade >> Trade Account Monitor/Balances Window" to open the "Trade Account Monitor Window". - Place the Trade Account Monitor over the graphics area of the main Sierra Chart window. - Select "Window >> Always on Top" on the Trade Account Monitor window. - Select "Edit >> Screen Images >> Save Main Window to File". - Wait 10 seconds. - On the "Trade Account Monitor Window" select "Manage >> New Trade Account". - Enter the name of the new trade account you want to create in the window that pops up. - Select OK to close that window where you entered the name. - With the Trade Account Monitor still covering the graphics area of the main window, select "Edit >> Screen Images >> Save Main Window to File". - Get us those two images by attaching them to this thread. They are located in the folder named "Images" under your main Sierra Chart installation folder (such as C:\SierraChart\Images).
