You need to understand that there are two different simulation environments available for Sierra Chart.

One is the built-in Simulation Mode, which is used when the option for "Trade >> Trade Simulation Mode On" is enabled (has a checkmark next to it). In this case, there is no account balance. This simulation mode allows you to trade whatever you want, and you can keep track of how you did based on the profit/loss. Refer to the following:

The other option is the "Simulated Futures Trading Service" also referred to as the "Trading Evaluator". This allows you to set an account balance and it adjusts based on your Profit/Loss and setup. Refer to the following:

In order to adjust the parameters of the Simulated Futures Trading Service, you need to setup an account first. This is done in Step #8 of the instructions you reference. If that is not working for some reason, then let us know.

Also, there are two options for the "Trading Evaluator" in the "Current Selected Service". One for real-time data and one for delayed data. Since you are not setup to get any data from our Denali Exchange Data Feed, you need to be connecting to the delayed version of the trading evaluator.
