Hi I am not sure how to accomplish this. I am trying to get different visual alerts based on volume delta. If volume delta diff is 30 then a small circle, if 40 a bigger circle however this gets overlapped so i will get the small and the big circle in the same time. How can i have the small circle removed if the bigger one is disapled? It's just get too crowd on the chart. Thank you |

There is not a way to not display the information from one instance of the study due to information from another instance. We actually think what you came up with is a good solution. Our only suggestion would be to use a "Point" instead of a "Circle Hollow". Then you will have a filled item and as long as you have the order of the studies such that the largest drawing is at the bottom, then you will only see that last drawn item. Thank you John. This is also a good way. Is there a way to display inside the point the delta value? To avoid adding many studies having the number will help a lot. Especially in cases with very big delta values. |

:( Obviously the number it's there but not displayed :) How hard would it be to be added in a next version. I hope to be taken into consideration. Thank you John! |

This is definitely not simple. It is a request that will go on a list and not be looked at until years later. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. I found a way to do it using large volume trade indicator and select draw mode to Based on Total Ask Bid Volume Above Threshold. Like in screenshot 1. I use it in Transparent mode. However if i want to see the values it will be non-transparent and this is annoying. Screenshot 2 Is there a way to just add the text without changing the transparency of the draw? Set the Study Input Marker Style to None Set the Study Input Draw Volume Text to Transparent. We were thinking about this: Is there a way to display inside the point the delta value?
This is what the Numbers Bars study does: Numbers Bars You just need to use the Numbers Bars study. Additionally you can modify the Volume at Price Threshold Alert study: How to Build an Advanced Custom Study from Source Code There are various Draw Styles available, that draw numbers at specified price levels and with specified alignment.: Chart Studies: Subgraphs Tab >> Draw Style Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. I manage to do it differently. Added twice the Large Volume Trade Indicator. For one i set the Marker Style to None and Draw Volume Text to Transparent as you suggested. For second i set Marker Style to Circle and Draw Volume Text to None. So now it looks like the way i wanted. Thank you very much for suggestions! Again the proof that Sierra can do everything even if it's not intuitive in the beginning. |
