When I left click with hand tool, the whole chart is moving. What is the problem?

We see that you have the "Title Bar" set to not display. This can often lead to odd items occurring, and we think this may be the reason for what you are seeing occurring. With that chart active, select "Chart >> Show Title Bar" to have that option enabled (there will be a checkmark (tick) next to the item in the menu). Then try to move the chart with the Hand tool and see what happens. If this does not resolve it, then please let us know. Although what you are seeing is definitely going to be related to the Operating System, as it seems to think that you are selecting the title bar to move the chart. I have the same problem after installing 2814 or 2815. The hand tool suddenly moves the chart instead only the content of the chart. "Support Vertical Scaling/Movement with Hand Tool" is set to Yes. I also see a blue title bar on every chart or DOM when "Show Title Bar" is activated. When I switch back to 2812 everything is normal. So it cannot be an OS issue. The Sierra Screen Image tool does not capture the blue bar. That's why I had to capture this image with an externe screen imager Date Time Of Last Edit: 2025-11-30 10:45:12

This will be resolved in a new release coming out today: The hand tool suddenly moves the chart instead only the content of the chart. "Support Vertical Scaling/Movement with Hand Tool" is set to Yes.
I also see a blue title bar on every chart or DOM when "Show Title Bar" is activated.
These are Sierra Chart title bars and can be fully configured. 1) thank you!! 2) But I did not change anything in the title bar. For comparison see in my new screenshot how the same chart looks like after reinstalling 2812. It looks normal as it should be. I don't know why the color is changing in 2814 or 2815 to blue. The blue titlebar in my first screenshot looks also a bit thicker and not three dimensional as the title bar in my second screenshot Date Time Of Last Edit: 2025-11-30 18:00:55

2. We will prepare documentation on how to reconfigure the title bar to how you want it to look. The issue with the hand tool is now resolved in the latest prerelease. Thank you for providing the fix! That means when I install 2816 or later I have to reconfigure the title bar of each chart I have, correct? |

What do you mean by "reconfigure the title bar of each chart"? There is nothing you need to do with each chart for the title bars. Is there something in particular you are thinking of? Because you said: "2. We will prepare documentation on how to reconfigure the title bar to how you want it to look" Or did you mean that the title bars are looking again like in my second screenshot with 2816? I did not test 2816 currently. |

Please give us some time to get some of the items fixed and some more information put together so we can give a better answer on what exactly will be changeable and where it will be done.

Do you have this information already? I've installed 2836 and all the frames of my chart windows are blue and relatively thick. Is there a way configure the color and the thickness? And is it possible to make the title bar of a window smaller? To be honest the design looks currently really terrible...
