I downloaded a .CHT delta foot print template and copied it into my data folder. The file shows up in my chartbooks but when I try to open it, I get a black screen.

What is your Sierra Chart service level? You need at least level 5 for the Numbers Bar Study (Sierra's name for Footprint).

Correct. You may have an old chartbook that is not compatible. Check the Windows Message Log. I would try adding the Numbers Bar study to a new chart. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2025-11-11 16:45:15

In your original image, you were getting the message "Waiting to Download Historical Intraday Data". This means that the system is trying to download the data from our servers and it is not yet complete. Depending on how much data is being requested, this can take some time - even hours if many years are being requested. You really need to wait for the data to fully download and then see what is occurring. Or you can decrease the amount of data that is being downloaded by adjusting your chart settings. Good morning John, I let the process run for about 5 hours to see if it would download. The green bar with DF: was still ticking up when I shut it down. Does that indicate it was still downloading? Also my message log was endless. I tried to limit the data feed but it looks like this template is preset. The boxes to limit the data are "read only". see attached. Do you recommend I just let it run all day? Also this is probably a dumb question but is this data downloading to my computer?

The chart itself is only trying to get 2 days of data. So this is not related to this chart. The reason the "Date Range in File From/To" is blank is because the system has not downloaded the data yet. So these values are not present. Also, you need to close that window and reopen it to get those fields to update. What are the following set to: - Chart >> Chart Settings >> Symbol >> Symbol - Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Main Settings >> Current Selected Service - Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Common Settings >> Intraday Data Storage Time Unit - Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Common Settings >> Maximum Historical Intraday Days to Download >> Non-Tick Data - Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Common Settings >> Maximum Historical Intraday Days to Download >> 1 Tick Data For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

That is the wrong symbol for the "SC Data" service, it should be "ESZ25-CME". Select "Edit >> Translate Symbols to Current Service" to set the symbols correctly for the service you are currently connected to.
