Hello Support,

My Sierra Charts are not opening normally. Please find the attached screen
shot that is a picture of Sierra Chart -- I downloaded a chartbook and now
this is what I am seeing when I open Sierra Chart -- how do I return it to
the normal appearance as this is not normal? That is, this happened all of
a sudden, when I downloaded Chartbook. I just want it to return to the
normal way of opening Sierra Charts.

Thanks

The image shows a blank chart. If this is the case, then most likely the symbols that are entered for the charts are not the same as the symbols you use for your service. In this case, with the chartbook open select "Edit >> Translate Symbols to Current Service". Refer to the following:
Edit Menu: Edit >> Translate Symbols To Current Service

Thank you, It is a black chart; but upon observing the sides of the chart you will see icons in grey on the right and on the left there are Ask/Bid in red and QTY in blue and Ask/Bid in green -- this is not normal. In addition, on the bottom of the chart in grey there are icons for Connect/Data/Disconnect etc. -- this is not normal.

How do I re

Do you have this problem when you open one of your other chartbooks? If not, then those are Control Bars that are associated with that chart. You can remove them by selecting "Windows >> Control Bar Chart >> Control Bar #" where Control Bar # will have a checkmark next to it for the control bars that are on that chart.

If you do have this problem with all your chartbooks, then this means that your configuration file was overwritten for some reason. We can not say why/how, as we do not know how you received or installed that chartbook. Refer to the following for how to recover the configuration file from backups:
Resetting Sierra Chart to a Default State / Restoring Backup Global Configuration File: Restoring Backup Global Configuration File

And with regards to the blank chart, you need to check the symbol as we referenced in Post #2 above.
