Hello there

When I place a limit order and shut the Computer down after the order do get filled (position is closed correctly) but the order fills won’t show up. They do show up when the computer is running of course. Is this expected behavior and is there a way to change that?

We do not understand what you are stating. If the computer is off, then where would the order fills show? What are you looking at in this case?
For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service:

Hello - I hope I can make it a bit clearer .. when I put in a limit order at a certain price point and turn the computer off, the order will get executed once the price level is hit and the position closed, which I can observe in r trader for instance. When I open the charts back up the price data is downloaded Sierra charts rightfully doesn’t have any open positions as they were closed but I won’t see the little triangles that are displayed once the limit orders are hit when Sierra chart is open .. the excution points are not loaded / I don’t see the historic execution points when I load my charts .. is that clearer ?

From what you are stating, it sounds like the information for the order fill is not being given to Sierra Chart from the trading service. So there is nothing for Sierra Chart to show, as it does not know about what occurred.

Check your Trade Activity Log when this occurs and see if the order fill that should be there is showing in the log. If it is not there, then this is why it is not displaying the order fill marker. Refer to the following:
Trade Activity Log: Viewing Historical Trade Activity

If the fill is present in the Trade Activity log and you are still not seeing the order fill marker on the chart, then go through the items at the following link:
Chart Trading and the Chart DOM: Displaying Order Fills on the Chart

Please see the attached cut out from the trade activity log.. it seems that when i have the computer shut down, the orders get triggered but no info is recorded and hence no symbols are displayed on the chart. is there any way to change that?

second, it seems that the logged times are off? the most recent time in the trade log is 7:37:49 while the chart is only at 4:49 (see the red circles).

Is there a way to streamline that?

This is an issue with Rithmic and the fact that they are either not keeping the information available, so it is not there when you reconnect later, or they are not sending it properly when you reconnect. In either case, this is something Rithmic needs to deal with.

The times in the Trade Activity Log are going to be given in the time zone of the system, as set in "Global Settings >> Time Zone". If this is different from your Chart Time Zone, then you will see a difference in the times. Refer to the following:
Trade Activity Log: Date-Time of Trade Activity Log Entries

I have the same problem with an OCO order being executed while the computer was off and it doesn't get re-covered to Trade Activity Log. I trade through Dorman with Edgeclear and Teton order routing.

I tried disconnecting and re-connecting to my data service multiple times and I waited for the weekend - I read order executions on Teton are made available on weekends for Sierra to download, that did not help though.

What can I do to make Sierra automatically grab trade executions that are taking place while Sierra is offline?

This happens automatically and there should be no issue with this:

We see you are running an older version. Not sure if that has any relevancy, but update to the current version following these instructions:
Software Download: Fast Update

And follow the instructions here to download missing order fills:
Trade Activity Log: Automatically Inserting Missing Order Fills

No this is not exactly, as you say:

During the week there is about 2 to 3 weeks of the recent order fills available and over the weekend there is about two years available.
