Selecting "Edit >> Translate Symbols to Current Service" in the sub-instances should change the symbols to what is needed for how the main instance is set. It is very odd that this is not working for you. Please get us your Message Log from one of the Sub-Instances by following these instructions, as we are curious about why this did not work: Follow the instructions here to clear the Message Log:

Once you update the symbols, it sounds like you should be fine. With regards to the [M], that will not show in a sub-instance. So the fact that it is not there is correct. You are getting your data from our Denali Exchange Data Feed, but the sub-instances actually get the data from the Main Instance, so they are not making a direct connection themselves, which is why the [M] is not showing.
