It depends on what data you need. The only exchange that has this rule is the CME Group. They require that you have a live, funded, futures trading account in order to qualify for the non-professional exchange fees. This is their rule, we are just enforcing it.

The other option is to pay the professional fees. To see what these look like, refer to the exchange fees for the CME Group here:

Data from other exchanges (EUREX, CFE, NASDAQ) do not have this requirement and you can get that data immediately - you do not need a brokerage account for these.
