We have put out a notice to our users through the System Notification window in Sierra Chart for the requirement to use package 10, 11 or 12 for connection to CQG, Interactive Brokers and other external services, for new Sierra Chart accounts and when there is a renewal of usage time on the account.

Some users have not seen this notice.

What we are doing now, is we are giving users access to Service Package 12 for free, for 30 days. So the user can continue on package 3 or 5 but not have to pay anything more and be able to connect to their external trading/data service.

It is necessary though to have an active service package at 3 or 5 to take advantage of the free access to Service Package 12.

We have increased this to 60 days. There is nothing you need to do if you have been given access to package 12 or higher, using our evaluation functionality. We will automatically increase the time length by another 30 days for you. If you do not get this, let us know.


If you have already changed your Service Package from package 3 or 5 and are using CQG or Interactive Brokers, then you can contact us here and we will give you 60 days free of package 12 through the evaluation functionality, then we will change your service package back to 3 or 5.

In this way you will have access to package 12 free for 60 days. And not have to pay the higher package price during those 60 days by having to change to either package 10 or 11 depending upon whether you are using package 3 or 5 currently.
