We have numerous reports of users unable to connect to Transact. This issue is under the control of Transact. Sierra Chart does not control Transact connectivity. This is going to be a Transact issue and you need to contact them for help with this.

This thread here answers the question that some users have, where they think the recent Transact system issues, are due to Sierra Chart when they are not:

We definitely want our Transact users to continue with Sierra Chart, but we are going to be phasing out support for Transact. No specific timetable is given. This is a process which we are beginning. The first step, is this announcement.

Therefore, no technical support is provided any longer for any Transact specific issues.

We want you to move on to a fully superior market data and order routing system (The Denali Data Feed and Teton Order Routing).

You will have absolutely superior service by moving to our Teton order routing and working with a broker that supports this:

The first thing to do is to ask your broker if they support the Teton Order Routing Service. Transact does not, and Ninja Trader does not. Transact is now owned by Ninja Trader and Ninja Trader supports primarily CQG.


If you are with Cannon Trading, they do support Teton. They just need to move you to Teton.

If you would like help with transitioning to a new broker, let us know and we can then direct you to a broker who will work with you to move to our Teton order routing service and the Denali Data Feed.

The broker Stage 5 is headed by a former Infinity broker. Stage 5 supports the Teton Order Routing service. Edge Clear also supports Teton.

It is important to work with us directly and to work with brokers who fully support Sierra Chart superior systems. This is the proper way for you to get the best support and quality from Sierra Chart.

It is much easier for you to move to a new broker, rather than change to a different charting and trading platform. From what we understand your new broker will provide you an account transfer form and they will handle the details.

And we would like you to recognize, that Sierra Chart works hard to provide our users the best service. Transact, is an external entity, which cannot provide you the best quality services for Sierra Chart. Only we are able to do that with our own services and systems that we control fully ourselves. This also goes with other systems we work with, like CQG.

Transact has also been sold to Ninja trader brokerage who is a competitor. There is already a conflict of interest here.

If you want the very best market data and the very best order routing at the lowest cost and the best commissions, you need to move to our Denali data feed and Teton order routing.

You need to act in your interest. And in the interest of Sierra Chart and be supportive of us.

These statements, are here to ensure, that Sierra Chart customers get the best quality service and the best prices. Whenever brokers are willing to work with us, we will always do our best to accommodate them so long as they support our Teton Order Routing Service.

So we are not here to be taking away business from particular brokers, but instead to work to provide the best service to our customers and we ask, that our customers be supportive of us.

It is important to act in your interest, and in the interest of Sierra Chart in order so that you get the highest quality services at the best prices.

Transact is a business which has been sold. Sierra Chart is a strong business and we innovate, and we are creating the best solutions, to serve customers. And we have a lot of good ideas, sometimes they take us a long time to get them done though, but we work hard to do good things.

In some cases your broker will already support Teton. However, if you are with Infinity or Transact direct, then no they are not going to support Teton.

We are hearing a lot about Transact users having connectivity problems in the evening! Understand Sierra Chart does not have the ability to solve these problems. This is why we have developed our own order routing service to the exchanges, which are replacing all other services. You need to move on to our Teton order routing, and work with a broker that supports that service. Thank you!

The next steps related to phasing out support for Transact will be the following:

-Discontinuing historical data support for Transact. Estimate: April 2022
-Removing support for Transact from Sierra Chart in newer versions only. Estimate: April 2022
