When you are not able to view anything on a window, this points to a resource issue with the computer. Shutting down the computer and restarting the correct way to solve this.

Given this, you should have been fine when you restarted Sierra Chart. Since you reference 7 instances, make sure you just have one running to start with. Make sure that everything is working properly with that instance. Then start another and make sure everything is fine there, then the next one and the one, etc. We do wonder if the total amount of instances and charts is just too much for your computer.

In terms of saving instances, as long as you do not delete the sub-instance folder, each sub-instance will be saved the way you had it when you last saved the chartbooks. So there should not be an issue related to this.

In terms of starting the system with multiple sub-instances, refer to the following:
General Settings Window: Instances to Run on Startup (Global Settings >> General Settings >> General >> New Instances)

It does not matter how powerful your computer is , the Windows operating system has serious limitations:

The computer is powerful enough to run it.

That is why I asked about how to save all of the instances if I need to reinstall Sierra and how to save all of the existing chartbooks, charts, control bars etc.
There is no corruption.

Run Sierra Chart in safe mode:
Sierra Chart - Software Login Instructions: Using Safe Mode

Do not open any Chartbooks to make sure Sierra Chart is responsive first. If there is a Chartbook which is causing freezing, stop using that and start a new one.

Do not use any of your existing Chartbooks at this time.

And we also want you to check for excessive trade activity data. Check the files:
Trade Activity Log: Clearing Trade Activity Data Through Files

You may want to delete the older ones or any excessively large ones.

That should not happen:

I tried to add a new study on the Main Instance and it crashed and closed the main instance....
Does that happen in Sierra Chart Safe Mode as well?

We will have a new version out by morning which may, hopefully, resolve the issue of the Subgraphs tab of the Study Settings window not displaying.
