Hi ... apparently I must have hit a button somewhere that allows my charts to open at any point in it's time line history, instead of staying locked at the last price bar. I can be entering info on any given chart, switch to another chart in the same chartbook, then go back to the first one. It will come up on screen at some other point on the chart than where I had exited it. This has been an issue for some time, and finally the aggrevation is becoming too much. Appreciate your help to correct this. Thanks

The exact situation you are describing is not something the system does. What you are expecting is how it works, it will leave the chart where you last had it scrolled to. That being said, there are a couple of things that could affect the chart position. - First one is if you have the charts linked and have the Scroll Position enabled for the linking. - Second one is if you have the Tools >> Synchronize Charts enabled. Refer to the following links for these items: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/ChartSettings.html#LinkNumber https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/Tools.html#SynchronizeCharts For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Thank you for your reply John ... after reviewing my tools settings, I was already enabled on both global cursor and synchronize charts. But I stumbled onto an interesting observation with the cursor. When switching charts in a chart book, as long as the cursor exits the lower right corner of the screen first, then moves left across the names of the other charts listed at the bottom of the screen and click on the required chart, then that new chart will open with the last price bar on the right hand side of the screen, as normal. However, if I'm busy entering text or whatever on one chart, and say I wanted to copy and paste that info to another chart and I drop straight down to the bottom center or bottom left in order to click on the other chart, then the new chart will open at that time/date where the cursor exited the previous chart ... and that time/date will then be at the extreme right hand side of the screen. So I just have to train myself to exit the cursor at the lower right corner when changing charts, and all is good. I assume this how it is supposed to work in these newer versions.

It sounds like you are just getting lucky that the time at the end of the chart you are working with is close to the current time, therefore the other chart will be at that same time. But the real solution is to turn off the Synchronize Charts option. If you do that, you should not have this problem at all. Well ... look at that. You are absolutely right. I gathered from reading the detail for synchronized charts, from your link provide yesterday, that tool was supposed to be on. Obviously not. I disabled that tool selection and every chart opens as it should now. Thanks!
