SC Not Sending Order to IB TWS

Attempting to place an order for certain stock symbols via the chart trader does not result in any order turning up on TWS. Does not happen with all symbols. I can reproduce this with INTC, but orders are, for instance, transmitted correctly for AMD. I was also able to execute the desired orders for INTC directly via TWS without any problems. This is because you need to use the symbol format which includes both the exchange and primary exchange: Interactive Brokers Symbols: Stock Format Here are the instructions to change the symbol of the chart: Changing the Symbol of a Chart The bigger problem though is the fact that TWS is not even rejecting the order submission. In this case it works with "INTC-STK-SMART". I have also looked at the contracts which the TWS API returns for symbol="INTC" with secType="STK", currency="USD" and exchange="SMART". It only returns one with primaryExchange="NASDAQ", so it should not be necessary to specify that explicitly. Furthermore, AMD does the same, but it works with only the symbol given in SC. |

Makes no sense at all why using "INTC-STK-SMART" would make any difference. This is the error that we receive: Symbol Error - INTC-STK-SMART is unknown, unavailable, or improperly formatted.
