Version 2915.

A startup delay started suddenly after a replay freeze.
There is a consistent delay of approximately 46 seconds as shown in these consecutive Message Log entries:

2026-06-14 13:45:32.289 | Requested user files to download.
2026-06-14 13:46:18.415 | Files to Open on Startup | Opening file: ExampleChartbook.cht

I tested the following:
* Windows restart
* Delete All Data And Download
* Removed startup Chartbooks
* Clean installation in C:\SierraChart_test
* Using only ExampleChartbook.cht

The same 46-second delay occurs in the clean installation.

Also, if I disable "Files to Open on Startup" and manually open ExampleChartbook.cht after Sierra Chart starts, it opens immediately.

What process occurs between these log entries, why is Sierra Chart waiting approximately 46 seconds before opening startup Chartbooks, and how can this be resolved?

Thank you.

I found that disabling "File Download" in my account settings eliminates the approximately 46-second startup delay.

However, I do not understand why the delay occurs.
According to the Message Log, the only file listed was: Order rejected.wav and "User files to download complete" was already logged before the 46-second wait.

The WAV file already existed locally as well.

So it is not clear what Sierra Chart is waiting for during those 46 seconds before opening the startup Chartbook.

We cannot reproduce this problem. This is what we see:

2026-06-16 01:30:01.530 | Requested user files to download.
2026-06-16 01:30:04.943 |
2026-06-16 01:30:04.943 | SC Data | Connection to server complete.
2026-06-16 01:30:04.944 | No download requests in the queue to start downloads for. | Number times message added: 3

2026-06-16 01:30:08.173 | Files to Open on Startup | Opening file: ExampleChartbook.cht

There is no long delay. The long delay would indicate that in your case there are user files to download. We need to see the Message Log to see what those files are. They are taking a long time to complete in your case.

Thanks for replying. After enabling "Order rejected.wav" in "List of Files Downloaded on Software Startup" the 46" delay returns as follows:

2026-06-16 07:48:23.527 | Performing login for updated account information.
2026-06-16 07:48:25.580 | Successfully processed Sierra Chart account data.
2026-06-16 07:48:25.580 | Requested user files to download.
2026-06-16 07:48:26.406 | File to download: Order rejected.wav. Action: 0
2026-06-16 07:48:26.406 | User files to download complete
2026-06-16 07:48:26.406 | Restarting getting list of user files to download because of pending request
2026-06-16 07:48:27.592 |
2026-06-16 07:48:27.592 | SC Data | Connection to server complete.
2026-06-16 07:48:27.592 | No download requests in the queue to start downloads for. | Number times message added: 3

2026-06-16 07:49:27.812 | Files to Open on Startup | Opening file: ExampleChartbook.cht

The file is reported as complete at 07:48:26, yet startup Chartbook opening does not begin until approximately 46 seconds after the second "Requested user files to download" message.

We are not sure what is happening in your case. Other than we see there is a restart to download user files and we do not know why. We are adding additional logging to understand this better.
