Hello dear devs,

I have an issue with all versions higher than 2910. Upon launch, sierra partially loads some charts (not fully), then auto-closes itself.
I can't reach the logs to see what's up, as it automatically closes.
I reverted to 2910, latest stable for me.

Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC (24H2)

Can this be related to your changelog?

ACSIL functions that use the market depth structure s_MarketDepthEntry will return an error on this version and higher, when called by an ACSIL custom study that has been compiled for version 2910 and earlier. To use these functions on version 2911 and higher, you need to recompile the custom studies for version 2911 and higher. The reason for this is the Price members of this structure are now updated from float to double.

Thanks!

We do not see how that change is related to the problem. But we do not know at this time if the cause is from a custom study.

First thing to do is to run Sierra Chart in Safe Mode:
Sierra Chart - Software Login Instructions: Using Safe Mode

And also enable this option before opening any Chartbooks:

General Settings Window: Save Message Log to File (Global Settings >> General Settings >> Log >> Log)

To prevent Chartbooks from automatically opening, disable this option on the login window:
Sierra Chart - Software Login Instructions: Disabling Automatically Opening Files on Startup

I had this same problem, and setting SC to open in Safe Mode worked, with the 3rd party studies disabled, it ran just fine.
For me, I realized that the studies needed to be updated, and I used the "install previous version" option under the Help menu, in hopes that the author will update his studies for the latest version.

Hoping this helps, and gets you rolling for now.

The changes to ACSIL, which are on the What is New page should not be causing this problem but we do not know what these custom studies are internally doing.

I have some studies, I do not know which one is the trigger, some I compiled myself from source. For now I will stay on the version 2910.

We did not make any changes regarding this in version 2913. We do not know what the cause of the issue is in your case.

I proudly use a few of the TwoFox free indicators. There was a dll update labeled 2911, and I then tried the latest SC version 2913, and all is now good.
If that helps.
