Is there a study or a way in sierra chart to have another time frame like a higher time frame lets say H4 displayed in M15 like this? I would like to achieve the same in sierra chart like in tradingview in the attached image. Thanks |

Use the "Study/Price Overlay" to overlay the higher timeframe chart to the lower timeframe chart. Then set the Input in the Study/Price Overlay for "Use Multicolumn Rectangle Style for Price Bars" to "Yes". Refer to the following: Study/Price Overlay Study: Use Multicolumn Rectangle Style for Price Bars For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

To start with, you have to have charts open with 4 hour candles and 15 minute candles. Then apply the "Study/Price Overlay" to the 15 minute chart and set it up per the instructions. Attached is an image of what it should look like. We are not sure how you got it to be what you are seeing. Please get us the two charts with just the Study/Price Overlay study on the one chart. Follow the instructions at the following link, but get us the two charts, not just one: Support Board Posting Information: Providing Chartbook with Only a Single Chart For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing Date Time Of Last Edit: 2026-03-19 15:45:03

You have the Study/Price Overlay in the 15 minute chart set to reference a Study/Price Overlay in the 240 minute chart, which is set to reference the Main Price Graph of the 15 minute chart. So basically, it is referencing itself. Remove the Study/Price Overlay in the 240 minute chart, as you have it hidden and it is not doing anything. Then, in the Study/Price Overlay in the 15 minute chart, set the "Study to Overlay" to be the <Main Price Graph> of the 240 minute chart. thanks so much. Is there a way to make the fill abit more transparent so i can see the candles on the m15 chart, i tried to change fill level but it keeps reseting back to 75. Annother thing, is there a way to make the wick area of h4 rectangle box a different shade or different transparent so i can know where the open and close is without looking at m15 candle sticks chart? |

There is no option for transparency. The only other option is the "Use Hollow Rectangle". And there is no support for the wicks versus the body with that drawing option. i have a question. if i get a custom study made that does the same thing but has option to be able to set transaparent of the rectangle box and achieve what i need regarding the body and the wick. will this be possible or it is a limmitation of sierra chart therefore regardless if i get a custom study made it will still not work?

There are transparent Draw Styles supported in ACSIL. So it should be possible to do that. If a Draw Style is needed to be added to do specifically what is needed we should be able to do that. Can you please see the original first attached image of tradingview, it would be nice if it can be transparent like that and the body and wick of higher time frame is in a different shade. Is this something i have to pay you guys for that to be added?

These Draw Styles are supported when using the multicolumn rectangle style: DRAWSTYLE_TRANSPARENT_FILL_RECTANGLE_TOP DRAWSTYLE_TRANSPARENT_FILL_RECTANGLE_ BOTTOM This has always been the case. It is applied using a Study Collection, since the spreadsheet study settings are specific to this config. And the spreadsheet study has its own spreadsheet file that it references. So you need to put both files in your Sierra Chart's \Data folder, then apply the Study Collection. Full instructions are at the link in post #17. |

Support's settings suggestions are not related to the spreadsheet study of Post #17. There is no need to change any settings of the spreadsheet study of Post #17. If you need more help, DM me. |

The information given in post #19 is incorrect. For the "Study/Price Overlay" you can not change the Draw Styles when the "Use Multicolumn Rectangle Style for Price Bars" is set to "Use Filled Rectangle".

You are able to change the Draw Styles to Transparent Fill Rectangle Top/Bottom.
