Still cant get Volume at Price Threshold Alert (V2) to work properly!

These are my settings:

1) I have a Intraday Chart ONLY open
1-0-0
One day loaded
Day Session only 9:30-15:59:59

2) I Vol at Price study added
Vol Graph Period=Visible
Ste as Independent Profile=No
Time period Type for Fixed Time=Days
Time period Length for Fixed Time=1
Vol Bar Calc Method=Total Volume

3 & 4) I have two Vol at Price threshold Alert v2.. The Rt side Grey BAr is ASk>250. The left side bar >250
These are the settings for the Grey Bar:
Comparison Method= Ask Volume (Bid for White Bar)
Volume threshold=250
Everything else default.

Why am I only getting the bottom of the day? I have reloaded (after RTH hours) You can see its working on the bottom of the chart. Youd expect with that low of Vol set, that the middle of the day would have the bars, but not the ends because theres less than 250 Ask/Bid in those areas. But you can see the top has no bars. Is trying to oad after hours not letting the non historical info from loading?

Over day wide agle here:

Idk why you would want the chart loaded a different way unless this way you can see the settings bc yesterday I loaded the chart by Edit>Screen Images>Upload charts. And there was nothing not pertinent on the chart (Except the blue horz line to show you the level in case you couldn't zoom). Regardless, below is the chart of today uploaded according to the instructions you provided. This is today, not the attached yesterday chart. But same thing. Rt side Grey Bar should be ASK>250, Left side White Bar should be Bid>250.
As you can see, the bars are just on the bottom of the day chart for some. The whole day should have the bars except near the top, and near the bottom as those Price Levels don't have 250 Ask or Bid.

You asked for the Chart, so the upload is below. But if you wanted the file, that's attached too.

We wanted to see the chart so we could see how it is setup. It helps us to determine what may be wrong - which it did, although admittedly, we should have thought about it from the image, but we did not, but looking at the chart, it did give us the insight we needed.

The issue is that there are only 46 markers that can be drawn per bar. With the Daily bar as you have it, there are more than 46 levels that have the volume greater than the threshold value, so only the first 46 markers are drawn (it starts from the bottom and goes up).

So by 46 markers, if the tick is .25, you're saying it'll only track 11.50 points? (11.5 x .25 = 46)

So then are you saying the Vol at Threshold Alert V2 basically wont work for a daily chart? (Unless the day only moves 11.5 pts which is unlikely)
Is there a plan to fix that?

Is there a work around? I know you might say, separate the day into hourly bars or something like that, but that wont give me cumulative for that Price level for the days an alert, only the numbers (BVxAV) (or you might say edit the ticks to min 1.75 increments that would give the alert for the whole 80 pt day. But then Id have an almost 2 point range for the alert? Not very exact)

I just thought of something. Since my goal is to see when at the market extremes the Ask (or Bid) exceeds a Vol of 250. Is there a way, or would it work to do the opposite print? In other words, the white/grey Alert bar only shows when Vol is BELOW 250? Therefore it would disappear for most of the day bar (ergo under 46 markers). I haven't thought this through, but I imagine then I watch for the bars disappear instead of appear to trigger Vol over 250 for the level of Price.

No, not quite. You will get 46 markers, so whatever range takes up that number of markers. A marker is only used when the Volume Threshold is met.

We are saying that if you are looking for markers in a situation where there are going to be more than 46 per bar, then this will not give you what you want.

There is no plan to change this.

What you state would be the workarounds. There is nothing else we can think of for this.

The study is not setup to do this.

The only option you would have is to create a custom study that is somehow able to do what you want. But, the system has a limitation of 60 subgraphs for a study, so we are not certain how you would accomplish what you are wanting. Perhaps by using drawings to place the markers instead of the subgraphs.
