Hi all, it seems as though my take-profits (tp) and stop losses are not working unless I am logged into my SC account. In addition, it doesn't seem like the main buy and sell buttons work at the bottom of my trade window. Would you be able to take a look at my settings and let me know if there is something i need to adjust for my stops and tp's to work for me, so that I can move away from the desk with confidence knowing that I can exit the market with my targets and stops? Thanks in advance.

Is this in Simulation Mode or live trading?

If live trading, what trading service are you using?

Exactly what order types do you have set for your Targets and Stops?

In general, if the Stops and Targets are not working when Sierra Chart is not running, then this implies that the Target and Stop are not being held by the trading service, but are local to your computer. So Sierra Chart is actually managing these, in which case the software needs to be running to do this.

We need the above information to help determine why the orders would be local instead of with the trading service.

With regards to the Buy/Sell buttons, refer to the following settings and ensure the buttons are enabled:
Global Trade Settings Windows: Display Trade Window Controls (Global Settings >> Chart Trade Settings >> General)
For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service:

The built-in Simulation Mode requires that Sierra Chart is running to process the orders. If Sierra Chart is not running, then nothing will take place, therefore it is not doing what you want.

If you want to be able to do Simulated trading and be able to turn off Sierra Chart, then use our "Simulated Futures Trading Service". Refer to the following:

Is there an additional fee for the 'Simulated Futures Trading Service', and if so, how much is it?

Also, in the instructions for setting it up, it mentioned entering a trade account identifier (Step 8). It said:
"If you are migrating from the old server-based Simulated Trading Service to the new one" that's when I would need to enter in this trade account identifier. I am not sure if I am migrating from an old server-based simulated trading service. If I am, I do not know my old trade account identifier. Would you be able to let me know?

Also, when I switch from simulated trading to real money (my current service is Teton CME Routing [Trading]), will my stops and take-profits work when sierra charts is turned off, or will I still need to add the 'Simulted Futures Trading Service'? Thank you.

There is no fee to use the Simulated Futures Trading Service. This is free to anyone with a paid package or on a Trial.

You are not migrating from the older service. Just create a new account ignoring that note. Here is the link to the Setup Instructions:

As long as you are not using a specific "client" Stop or Target, then these will be either held on the market or on our servers. The issue you were having previously was due to using the internal Simulation Mode.
