Prevent Trade Window for Chart to pop up

A while back I've setup a spreadsheet which changes the trade config based on the ATR, which I still use to this day.
How to change trade twconfig based on ATR range values

I don't know what happened and what has changed, but now everytime the trade config changes (due to fluctuations of ATR), the windows keeps popping up in my face - in foreground, on top of my trading chart.
I've gone to all(?) settings and I cannot find which settings triggered this behaviour. I've been using this for quite some time and this is beyond annoying and I cannot seem to solve it.

Any insight, pretty please?
Thanks

What version of the software are you running? You can find this in "Help >> About >> Version".

This problem is not reproducible. We have tested for this. It does not occur. This is simply what we are doing:
sc.TradeWindowConfigFileName = "Test100.twconfig";

So in your case, we would think there is some other cause.

Not sure if it is going to matter but you can try the latest prerelease. Is it fine at this time to be using the latest prerelease.

Hmmm, I will test the new release, maybe it's not from the build, maybe some settings? But I am not aware of anything making the trade window to pop in foreground.

My spreadsheet study has default settings (only reducing number of rows to 10) and the spreadsheet has this in O3:
=if(and(ID25.SG1@3>=2,ID25.SG1@3<10),"volatility01",if(and(ID25.SG1@3>=10,ID25.SG1@3<17),"volatility02",if(and(ID25.SG1@3>=17,ID25.SG1@3<24),"volatility03",if(and(ID25.SG1@3>=24,ID25.SG1@3<50),"volatility04",if(and(ID25.SG1@3>=17,ID25.SG1@3<20),"volatility05",no_trading)))))
and in J112
=concatenate(O3,".twconfig")

And I have 6 twconfigs (5 volatility01-05.twconfig + 1 no_trading.twconfig)

The refereced study ID25.SG1 is a Study/Price Overlay to a 30s chart with Average True Range study.

We will check on this again in relation to the Spreadsheet System for Trading study.

We still cannot reproduce this problem with the Spreadsheet System for Trading study. Our recommendation is to wait a few days until we complete the work on the latest release with all of the window updates and test that version. We should be all done in about two days.

Hello Engineering,

I'm coming back to you regarding this issue. I know you might have your plate full with the current big update you just had, but I don't know what to do and how to solve this, it's driving me nuts.

I'm a scalper, using footprint and attached DOM.
As said, I'm using the Spreadsheet System for Trading study, which places my brackets in the trade based on predefined volatility / ATR values. I have around 5-6 values, which change the .twconfig active profile.
I tried recreating new .twconfigs, same result. When the ATR value calls for a different .twconfig, the moment I press on the trading chart (where the study is active), the Trade Window pops up! Checked and double checked all settings.

When it's movement (ATR swings) I lose a tempo of 2 clicks and a couple of seconds at minimum when placing a trade, since first when I click on the chart to initiate the trade, the Trade Window appears first in foreground, so I need to either ignore it and click once more - though it's distracting, or click to close it again, and then click once more to start the trade.

Please take a look, I could share my .twconfigs or the spreadsheet, I don't know how to deal with this one.

Thanks, in advance for all your work! I'm a sierra diehard fan :D:D:D

Is the Trade Window for that chart already open? In other words, separate from the Spreadsheet Study changing the configuration, if you select a different chart, then go back to the chart where the issue occurs, is the Trade Window displayed anywhere on the screen at that time?

No, the Trade Window is never open. I specifically close it (x), I never have it in the background/hidden. I only bring it up with my keyboard shortcut if I ever want to check something (ctrl+shift+T).
It won't appear on screen unless the ATR changes enough to trigger the next/previous xx.twconfig.

We have tried several different setups, but have been unable to reproduce this.

Please get us a couple of your Trade Configuration files so we can try with those specifically. Follow these instructions to get us the files:

As requested, find a couple of them attached, also the ATR_DefaultSpreadsheetSystemForTradingStudy.scss

It has O3 with:
=if(and(ID25.SG1@3>=2,ID25.SG1@3<10),"ATR-01",if(and(ID25.SG1@3>=10,ID25.SG1@3<17),"ATR-02",if(and(ID25.SG1@3>=17,ID25.SG1@3<24),"ATR-03",if(and(ID25.SG1@3>=24,ID25.SG1@3<50),"ATR-04",if(and(ID25.SG1@3>=17,ID25.SG1@3<20),"ATR-05",no_trading)))))
and
=concatenate(O3,".twconfig")
in J112

We are not able to reproduce this with your files. So we just do not know what is causing this, as we can not figure out what is occurring.

Our only suggestion at this time is to resave the Trade Configuration files and see if the problem persists.

I removed the study and started from scratch, I have exactly the same behaviour.
I do not know what has changed (I can't remember when, but it's been months with this issue) but I have been using the ATR dynamic twconfigs since november 2023 with no issues, so something must have changed in sierra software.
I'm yet to find out, so sadly, I will have to let go to this setup for now.

Maybe there are some more tests I can run? Any more ideas? :(
Thank you.

The one other thing to try is for you to get us your Chartbook and we can see if we can reproduce it with the Chartbook and the other files you provided. Let us know what chart in the Chartbook has the setup.

We ran this again with all your setup, and we are still not able to reproduce what you are seeing.

Full disclosure - we had to resave the configuration files, in order to get the Trade Window to display on our screen. We just went through each one and resaved it without changing anything else. We also had to test this in Replay mode in order to be able to get the ATR to change values enough to have the selected configuration change.

We do not see any reason why the changes we made above would have any impact on the Trade Window.

One other item of note - we see that you have a few custom studies on your chart, which we do not have access to. It's possible that these are somehow causing the issue. Please try to run Sierra Chart in "Safe Mode", which does not allow for custom studies to run. See if you continue to have the problem this way. If you do not, then somehow a custom study is at fault. Refer to the following:

Unfortunately, I might have hit a brick wall. Nothing works, I tried in safe mode as well, same dreaded popup appears every time the ATR changes enough to trigger a different twconfig.
Thanks for your efforts to troubleshoot though.

We really do not know what could be causing this. Our only recommendation at this point is to attach the trade window to the chart, so you will not be distracted by it popping up.
