Hello, I have 5 charts open on EURUSD set on different time frames. 4h, 1h, 15min, 5min, 3min. The only chart I am having issue with is the 4h as it only displayed about 20 bars. When I switch the same chart to the daily chart, it shows me more candles than the 4h chart. I tried changing the limitation to 180 bars, no success. I tried deleting and re-downloading, no success. What could cause the issue? Another question I have is how do draw a line on a chart that is then also displayed on my other chart window of the same pair but different timeframe? Final question regarding linking: these 5 charts have L:1 but when I go to my watchlist (which, btw., disappears often and I need to re-add symbols) and change the symbol from EURUSD to XAUUSD, only two out of five charts change the symbol |

You are on a trial, therefore you have limited data you have access to. Refer to the following: Sierra Chart Trial Account Another question I have is how do draw a line on a chart that is then also displayed on my other chart window of the same pair but different timeframe?
Refer to the following: Chart Settings: Copy Chart Drawings from Chart #'s (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Chart Drawings menu) Final question regarding linking: these 5 charts have L:1 but when I go to my watchlist (which, btw., disappears often and I need to re-add symbols) and change the symbol from EURUSD to XAUUSD, only two out of five charts change the symbol
They need to share the link number and the linking option. So if you want them all to change Symbol when you select a specific symbol on the Watchlist, then you need to have all the charts have the same Link Number and the option for "Symbol" set to "Yes". Is there a way to make a global setting for chart drawings? I currently have plenty of different charts open and changing settings for each individual chart takes loads of time. For example, I would like that all charts have this enabled: "Draw Highlight Drawings Underneath Main Graph and Studies". Also, as far as I read the documentation, is it possible to automatically copy the drawings to all charts of the same symbol rather than having to always manually entered a number to copy drawings? I often draw and delete in hourly increments. |

In general, in order to have chart settings that are different from the default, you would need to start with a Template chart setup as you want. Refer to the following: Using Chart Templates There are a few items, however, that are controlled differently. The Symbol Settings, in particular, where these are setup per symbol and will update the chart whenever the symbol is changed. If you want an item that is part of the Symbol Settings, then you need to update the actual symbol settings themselves. Refer to the following: Global Symbol Settings: Instructions Another few items, specifically the "Days to Load", "Intraday Bar Period", and "Graph Draw Type" can be saved as specific items that will then be setup that way for any new chart. Refer to the following: Chart Settings: Save Days to Load, Intraday Bar Period, Graph Draw Type as Default (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Chart Data >> Chart Data menu) There is not an option to copy drawings to all other charts of the same symbol. You do need to use the "Copy Drawings to Chart #" option to do this. You can then control if a chart does not display drawings that were not from the same symbol. Refer to the following and the entry 2 below it: Chart Settings: Copy Chart Drawings from Chart #'s (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Chart Drawings menu) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
