I am trading MNQ, but have my charts and DOM setup to display NQ data, I also have my tick size set to 1 ( not the defaul NQ of 0.25 ).

I'm having an issue that has repeated itself several times in the past few weeks and its causing huge frustrations.

I place a buy/long OCO order that gets filled, and I have a default stop of lets say 15 ticks. If the trade moves against me a little, I often move the stop down 5 or 10 more points manually on the DOM. As the trade develops, the stops just get hit instantly even though price never dropped to that actual price level. Obviously this is a big issue for me as I have no idea whats happening. I understand the idea of slippage and the possible difference between MNQ and NQ, but sometimes my stops are 20 points away and they STILL get hit without price moving that low.

After looking at my order locations on the chart ( show order fills ) it appears like theirs an issue where my orders ( stops ) are moved visually on the DOM, but not moved on the backend, the new location not sent to the exchange correctly.

Do you have any idea whats happending here?

To begin with, why are you not using the standard tick size? What are you trying to accomplish with this, as there is probably another solution. And we wonder if this may be related to the problem you are seeing.

Next, what service are you trading with in this situation? Rithmic is known for not updating orders in a timely fashion. So your statement of "it appears like theirs an issue where my orders ( stops ) are moved visually on the DOM, but not moved on the backend" sounds very much like a Rithmic issue.

Apprecaite the fast response...

I compress the NQ ticks 4 to 1 for a few reasons. I notice it helps my charts update fast / lag less. And on the DOM it makes it more understandable for me since the NQ moves so fast it makes reading the price action more manageable.

I have notice an issue in the past with the 4-1 tick compressed DOM where I will try to drag and drop an order and it won't 'drop' for some odd reason. Almost like I'm trying to drop it on an invalid price due to the compression, like between levels and its confused. So, I was wondering if something similar is happening per my original issue, where I drag a drop the order and visually on the DOM it moves to the new location, but behind the scenes it failed 'between' levels and never actually moved the order.

I'm usiang AMP futures setup with Teton CME Routing.
( I moved away from Rithmic a couple years due to their issues... )

Also, I was trying to understand this issue and I'm showing order fills on a test chart and they are not showing up correctly. Which seems very odd... missing entry arrows and lines all over the place... See attached.

Changing the Tick Size should not have any impact on the chart performance with regards to the bars. The data is still coming in at every tick and the bars are updating to that. It can make a bit of a difference for the Market Depth data in the DOM.

We highly recommend setting the Tick Size back to its original setting and then if you want to aggregate the data in the DOM, then refer to the following:
Chart Settings: Market Depth Combine Increment in Ticks (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Market Depth menu)

Also refer to the following for other columns:
Chart Settings: Apply Combine Increment in Ticks to Other Market Data Columns (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Market Depth menu)

If you are using a Numbers Bars chart, then refer to the following setting to aggregate the data for Volume at Price:
Chart Settings: Volume at Price Multiplier for Historical/Intraday Chart (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Chart Data >> Volume at Price menu)

And finally, if you are using a Market Depth Historical Graph, then refer to the following Input:
Market Depth Historical Graph: Combine Increment in Ticks
