I am trading MNQ, but have my charts and DOM setup to display NQ data, I also have my tick size set to 1 ( not the defaul NQ of 0.25 ). I'm having an issue that has repeated itself several times in the past few weeks and its causing huge frustrations. I place a buy/long OCO order that gets filled, and I have a default stop of lets say 15 ticks. If the trade moves against me a little, I often move the stop down 5 or 10 more points manually on the DOM. As the trade develops, the stops just get hit instantly even though price never dropped to that actual price level. Obviously this is a big issue for me as I have no idea whats happening. I understand the idea of slippage and the possible difference between MNQ and NQ, but sometimes my stops are 20 points away and they STILL get hit without price moving that low. After looking at my order locations on the chart ( show order fills ) it appears like theirs an issue where my orders ( stops ) are moved visually on the DOM, but not moved on the backend, the new location not sent to the exchange correctly. Do you have any idea whats happending here? |
