Hey, I've the problem, that i make my trade, for an example a long one. I place my sell stop and my targets. But when my stop is hit and i'm not in the same market (becuse i switched with quote board to have a look what is happening in other markets), my stopp don't get triggered. The trade is still running until i switch to this market i placed it. When i switch to the market i get canelled wherever the mrket is at this moment, but not where my stop was placed. I've got this problem for some weeks and don't get it fixed. How can this happen? I actually trade in sim with denali data feed. But this is a big problem and crashed some accounts now. |

Maybe you can help me with another point too. How can i change my settings that when my target or stop is hit, the other one get cancelled? Actually i place all manually because i don't find the right setting for an stop loss strategie. So i always take them manually out, when the trade is over. That sucks. I always use 2 contracts. I want one contract get out at my first target and the other one i want to go on, until my stop loss is hit by my exit strategie. When i use a strategie i have to place the 2nd target by for example 1000 ticks so it don't get hit. |

If you are using the built-in Trade Simulation Mode, then the chart does need to be open in order to have the Targets/Stops work properly. When you change the chart to a different symbol, then the system is not able to track the trades that you had setup. If you are wanting to do this, then you will need to use our "Simulated Futures Trading Service", which is server-based, so your orders are held on our servers. Therefore, if you change symbols, you will not have this problem. Refer to the following: Simulated Futures Trading Service We are a bit confused by your statement that this "crashed some accounts now". The built-in Simulation Mode does not have a concept of an Account Balance, so there is no way for this to occur. And if you are referring to Prop Firm accounts, then the orders should be held with the Prop Firm servers, so you should not have an issue. The only situation where this could be an issue is if you are using "Client Side" specific order types. -- Add the Target and Stop as Attached Orders when you place the main trade. Refer to the following: Attached Orders For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

I believe it's by trade -》 Simulation mode on, what i actually use. But there is always a chart in my overview monitor which is still on the markets i trade. One chart for every market. But the problem is in general. Yes, were prop firm accounts where i recognized that problem. There i don't traded in sim mode. I will have a try. But when i trade next a prop or a real account, i've to swotch this setting again? Date Time Of Last Edit: 2025-06-18 18:52:44

In order to trade with a real or prop firm account, you need to have the option for "Trade >> Trade Simulation Mode On" disabled (no checkmark next to it). Then the orders are sent to the connected service. As we said, the service you use should be keeping the orders on their servers, so you should not have to worry about what you are doing within the Sierra Chart software when you are doing this. Unless you are specifically using orders that are "Market if Touched" or have the word "Client" in them - with these you are specifying that the order is kept on the local Sierra Chart and not sent until it becomes an actionable order. If you find the Target or Stop is not being properly held by the service you are connecting to, then we would need to see your "Trade Service Log" when you have a problem with this. Refer to the following: Support Board Posting Information: Providing Lines From Trade Service Log For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Before we answer the above questions, we first want to point out that you have activated the "Full CME Group (CME, CBOT, COMEX, NYMEX) with Market Depth for Non-Professional Trading Accounts", but you have not yet connected to your live trading account with AMP (you specified that you have an account with AMP in the "Uniform Subscriber Agreement"). As such, your "Verified Until" date is still showing as "000-00-00". This date must be in the future for you to receive the real-time data. Please let us know what order routing service you are setup to use with AMP (it will be one of Teton, CQG, or Rithmic). Once we know this, then we can point you to the proper instructions to connect. Given the above, you are getting the Delayed Streaming Data Currently. Therefore, if you want to use the Trading Evaluator, you would need to select the "Trading Evaluator - Delayed". Let us know if you have an issue with this. With regards to the Attached Order, you need to look in the "Targets" tab on the Trade Window to see how the attached orders are setup, if there are any. Make sure those are correct for what you want. Again, refer to the following: Attached Orders For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
