Time Range Highlight


Description

This study highlights the background of Chart Region 1 across the time range specified through the Start Time to End Time Inputs. Start Time and End Time can be reversed if you want to highlight across midnight.

Verify the Subgraph Color for this study is set to what you require for the study and gives you the amount of contrast that you need. This is set through the Subgraphs tab of the Study Settings window for the study.

Inputs

  • Start Time: The starting time to begin the highlight. This can be a time which is less than the End Time in which case it starts in the previous day.

    This time needs to be entered in a 24-hour time format. Example 4 PM would be entered at 16:00:00.

    The highlighting is aligned to specific chart bars, which contain the specified time. For a better understanding of this, refer to Bar Starting Time.
  • End Time: The ending time to end the highlight. This time is also included in the time range.

    It is important to understand that the time you see on the Time Scale for a chart bar, is the Bar Starting Time. Chart bars start at the starting time and then end 1 microsecond earlier than the starting time of the next chart bar. A chart bar that includes the End Time will be highlighted. This information also applies to Start Time.

    This time needs to be entered in a 24-hour time format. Example 4 PM would be entered at 16:00:00.

    The highlighting is aligned to specific chart bars, which contain the specified time. For a better understanding of this, refer to Bar Starting Time.
  • Display in Forward Projection Area: This determines whether the highlighting continues into the forward projection area of the chart if the End Time is in that area.
