Hello i want to have draw on my chart the daily high and low of last day of the us session on NASDAQ so 9h30am to 16PM est Time. But i want this level to be drawn on a chart setup with globex hours ( 18 pm to 17 pm next day). For now i use 2 chart to do that the first chart is setup to start AT 9h30 am and end AT 16pm and i use the studie daily OHLC with référence day back setup to 1 liké that i Can sée the high and low of Yesterday. The second chart is setup with session start AT 18pm and end AT 17 pm. And i use the study Price to overlay to get the high and low of the first chart. The problem is i trade on overnight and the level of the first chart start to draw only when the New session start AT 9h30am and before that the level that appear on the globex chart are not the level of 1 day back but the level of 2 day back. Can you help me to setup this correctly please ? |

What you are seeing now makes perfect sense for the way you have it setup. But what we are a bit confused by is exactly when you want to view the previous day's data. What are the hours in which you want to view the previous day data.

So what i need is too get the high and low of NY session 9h30am EST to 16h00pm EST directly on a globex chart starting AT 18h00pm EST (so 2 hours After the close of the NY session) and until 16h00pm next day.

To do this you would need to use a Spreadsheet Study and setup the spreadsheet to get you the data as you want it. For example, with the "Daily OHLC" Input for "Reference Days Back" set to "0", and using the Study/Price Overlay on the 23 hour chart, you would enter a formula that looks like the following in cell K3: =IF(HOUR(A3) = 18, ID1.SG1@4, K4) Where ID1 is the ID of the Study/Price Overlay study and SG1 is the Open subgraph. This assumes that you are using 1 hour bars, so there is no additional check for time beyond the hour, so you would have to expand this out depending on how you are viewing the chart to make sure you are getting the bar that starts at 18:00:00. Also, the above draws the line from 18:00 to 17:00. If you really want it to stop at 16:00 then you would need to add that condition. Refer to the following for information on the ID1.SG1@4 shorthand: Working with Spreadsheets: References to Study Subgraph Columns when using the Spreadsheet Study For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
