We plan to replace the NASDAQ Global indexes data feed we offer:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/DenaliExchangeDataFeed.php#NASDAQGlobalIndexDataFeed

With CBOE Global Indexes. CBOE Global Indexes will provide the real S&P 500 cash index and the real CBOE volatility index. As well as other indexes.

We expect we can make the new CBOE Global Indexes data feed available June 1, 2024 (Tentative but not definite yet). There are going to be exchange fees for real-time data as well as delayed data. So this data feed does have exchange fees but they are not much.

This plan is going to go ahead. NASDAQ global indices will be discontinued May 31, 2024. And replaced with CBOE Global Indexes starting tentatively June 3, 2024 but potentially there could be a delay.

CBOE Global Indexes is now available.

These include the real S&P 500 cash index, the OEX, and the CBOE volatility index. As well as, various treasury yields. Other symbols are available as well.

Exchange fee is 6 USD per month.

Symbols are listed in File >> Find Symbol >> CBOE Global Indexes. There are hundreds of them available. Some of the more common ones are permanently listed.

The others can be listed following the instructions here:

When you get the listing of the symbols you will see descriptions for each of them. Some of the symbols may not provide any data. Getting a list of symbols is only possible once the exchange fee is paid.

Regarding historical data for the S&P 500 cash index, and the CBOE volatility index. We are able to obtain from the exchange, historical data all the way back to 2016. So we are going to work on that. Allow about two weeks for this to be obtained and added.

Regarding additional historical data for the S&P 500 cash index and the CBOE volatility index, we now have the import functionality completed for that.

And we have ordered the initial data from CBOE and just waiting for delivery. Hopefully we can make this available sometime during the week of July 15. We will see. At this point we are just waiting on CBOE.

Once we get the initial batch of data imported, and everything is all right we will order all of the rest of the data.

We have added more historical data for:
SPX_CGI

The data now the goes back to:
2023-06-01 (We plan to add more and also for VIX, but this is the first step to make sure the process of obtaining and importing data functions properly)

To load the additional data:

For Historical Daily charts:

Re-download all the data in the chart by going to the chart and selecting "Edit >> Delete All Data and Download" from the main Sierra Chart menu. You just need to do this once per symbol and not for each chart. This command is on the main Sierra Chart menu at the top. Only use it from that location.

For Intraday charts:
