I am migrating from Multi Charts- Numbers bars: only using column 1

1. background coloring method is set to: Ask Vol/Bid Vol percentage
2. percent compare thresholds are set to: .25,.50,.75 - this provides a gradient of 4 up and 4 down colors in the background
3. column1 text coloring method is set to: diagonal dominant side Ask Vol Bid Vol percentage.

problem is I am getting too many colored text prints, I want the text coloring to be 150%-200%. it seems the that percent compare threshold in #2 above controls both 1 and 3 above. This doesn't work if you need two different settings for each. If I set the thresholds to 200% I get only two colors in the background, but the text is right. If set it where it is at 25,50,75 the background is right but the text isn't. I have tried every optional setting to replicate my MC charts and have given up. Is there a separate setting? What is solution if I am using percentage based coloring for background and text color, but need separate thresholds because I don't see it.

Hi, am looking for an answer/work around to the same question:

1. background colouring - wish to use Ask Vol/Bid Vol percentage with .25,.50,.75 increments (4 colours per direction)
2. text colouring - diagonal dominant side Ask Vol Bid Vol percentage with a 200% threshold to switch from the default (white in my set up) to red and green

Is this possible? thanks

There is no option to have different percentage threshold values for the coloring of the background versus the coloring of the text. The best option available for this is to use a Text Coloring Method that is an "Actual Value" when the background is using a percentage. Then you can set percentages in the "Percentage Threshold" and separate actual values in the "Actual Values Threshold". Refer to the following:
Numbers Bars: Column # Actual Volume Compare Thresholds

Also, you can setup different colors for the text coloring from the background coloring. Refer to the following:
Numbers Bars: Use Separate Colors for Text Coloring Method

We have noted this as a "Feature Request" to have separate Background percentage thresholds and Text percentage thresholds.

Thank you John - the "Feature Request" is welcomed.

Your suggestion re using the Actual Value won't work as I'm interested in the proportional difference.

In the meantime, I'll need to have two charts open - one for 'scaled' background colour (split in equal divisions), and the second for the 'alert' text signals (set somewhere between 200% and 400% dependent on the product).

As you can see from the above, using the same percentage allocation for both isn't really logical when you have already split the text and background colour shading options within the software.

thanks again for the prompt response.
