Random order issues through Rithmic

I'm currently trying to track down an issue I've now seen three times over the past couple of months when placing orders through Rithmic. My trade windows are configured to place a stop loss along with a take profit order when I place my orders. After placing the trade, depending on price action, I may decide to hit flatten in the trade window before either my stop loss or take profit is hit. What I see happen is the flatten order sitting, waiting to be executed. Finally it executes, and my chart along with trade window show I'm not longer in a position. Now the problems is as follows. A couple of weeks ago, when this issue occurred, about 20-30 seconds after the positions are shown as closed, the trade window and chart showed me back in a position, opposite of the direction of my last trade, as if the flatten (a market order), was executed twice. The trade activity window shows the market orders after my last trade had closed, and while the orders are tagged with the attached order type listed in the trade window, the orders are shown without any stop loss or take profit. Today, was a little different. After hitting flatten to close my position, about 15 seconds later, my chart and trade window showed me back in the trade I just took (same direction) from where my original order was at, without a take profit or stop loss showing. I clicked flatten once more in the trade window and the trade disappeared, but the daily PNL wasn't updated, so this seems more like a ghost order as I also don't see it in the trade activity log list. About 20-30 seconds after this order disappeared my chart showed me in a position opposite of my last trade, again without a stop loss or take profit. The trade activity shows this as a market order. So today, not sure if it was the issue above and Rithmic may have executed the order twice, or if SC sent another order to Rithmic when I clicked flatten when the ghost order appeared. I'll try to do screen capture from now on to capture this since this isn't frequently occurring, like I said, just three times over the last couple of months, but are there any more detailed logs around order execution that show when SC sends an order to Rithmic? |

First, Sierra Chart has very reliable order handling. This can be clearly evaluated through the Trading Evaluator service: Simulated Futures Trading Service We recommend using this service and you can see that everything works very well. You can run another installation of Sierra Chart that you can use on the side and do the very same identical orders and you will see everything works well. And also through Teton order routing: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing The way that flatten works is very reliable. If there is already a market order or orders which will flatten the position, another one is not sent. Everything works very reliably and perfectly. The issues you are you have are going to be related to Rithmic or connectivity. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. No, this will never happen: or if SC sent another order to Rithmic when I clicked flatten when the ghost order appeared.

We do not need to see this. It is of no use to us and we have no interest in Rithmic problems. And it is only a waste of our time to be bothered with this stuff.but are there any more detailed logs around order execution that show when SC sends an order to Rithmic?
