I recently started noticing that when I exit Sierra the shut down is taking longer that it used to. I have not changed much my setup in terms of number of open charts and indicators. After searching for a possible answer, I have not been able to find anything.

I normally exit by selecting "Save All," but even if I do not select save all, the long delay to exit is still there.

Could you please comment on this? or provide some suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Approximately how long is it taking to exit?

It's taking about 19 seconds. It used to be faster.

And is it this long even if you do NOT save the chartbooks when exiting?

Sorry for the delay in responding. Well, it could be my computer. I realized my computer a whole has been sluggish.

But for your information here are the numbers:

Exiting and saving: 15 seconds
Exiting without saving: 14 seconds.

Let me know if these numbers look reasonable to you. For your info, I load 3 instruments (the ES, NQ, and Russell with a total for 12 charts open).

Thanks for your feeback.

It is a bit unusual, particularly the time without saving the chartbooks. But it is not completely impossible, especially if your computer has been "sluggish" as you say.

One of the things to try is to reboot your computer and then start Sierra Chart and try exiting and see how long it takes. Since you will have a relatively "clean" Windows running due to the reboot, it will give you a better indication of what is going on.

One item that we have seen cause computers to have issues like this is the Anti-Virus software. So one other thing to try is to disable the anti-virus software (they typically have an option to stop for some period of time) and then try again and see if this may be the issue.
