Hello,

I am starting with a prop firm that clears through Wedbush and they recommend that I use CTS FIX for order routing. I've read through the support board and it seems like support for CTS has been discontinued but I'm unclear on whether that pertains to the data feed, order routing, or both. If CTS is not supported then what would be the recommended trade service?

We do not have support for data or trading with CTS.

You would have to ask the Prop Firm you are using if there is another option. We support Rithmic and CQG for external order routing services. If the prop firm is setup to use one of these as well as CTS, then let us know which and we will point you to the proper instructions.

Otherwise, you would not be able to use Sierra Chart with that prop firm.

Thank you for the reply. Supported front-ends are CQG, TT, CTS, RivalOne, and Stellar. From your message it sounds like CQG will be the best bet. Can you please point me to the most up-to-date instructions?

Yes, you can connect using CQG then. Use the instructions at the following link to connect your Sierra Chart to the CQG account:
CQG Trading Platform Service: Setup Instructions

But, and we are sorry this is going to become a bit difficult. We do not support data from CQG for the CME Group and EUREX. As such, you would have to get your data from our Denali Exchange Data Feed. We are assuming that you will be trading the CME Group, and as such, you would have to have a live, funded, futures trading account in order to get the data at the non-professional rate. Refer to the information here:
Real-Time Exchange Data Feeds Available From Sierra Chart: Understanding and Accessing Data From the CME, CBOT, NYMEX, COMEX Exchanges

Keep in mind the, prop firms do not count towards the requirement from the CME group. Therefore, if you have a personal trading account, then you will need to connect to that account to verify your non-professional status. Let us know if you do and what order routing service it uses so we can point to the correct instructions to connect to that account.

If you do not have a separate account that you can use, then we recommend the solution outlined at the following link:

I'm sorry if any of this is redundant, I just want to be sure that I understand.

I do have an existing account with a Non-Professional designation that I am currently using for real-time CME Group and Eurex data. I was planning to set up a new Sierra Chart account under the firm name so that they could handle billing, and along with this was anticipating that I would be classified as a Professional and paying professional exchange fees. Once this was setup, I would let my market data subscriptions lapse and continue using my existing Sierra account for testing on SIM with delayed data.

Complicating this further, I will be trading ICE products and it appears that I will need to use CQG data for this.

Given all this, can you please confirm that the following setup would work?:

- Sierra Chart running under my personal, non-professional account, subscribed to real-time CMEGroup and Eurex market data from my existing live futures account.

- Order routing to CMEGroup, Eurex, and ICE through the CQG WebAPI.

- ICE market-data from CQG.

Is it possible to receive real-time data from 2 different data services on the same Sierra Chart instance or will I need to run 2 instances and connect both to the CQG WebAPI trade service?

Thank you for all of your help with this. I really appreciate it.

(EDIT: I accidentally replied to this thread with my personal login, but I am the same person as the original poster, User433021.)

You can get the data for the CME Group and EUREX from us and the data for ICE from CQG all into the same Sierra Chart installation. So there is no issue with this either.

We are not sure we fully understand the plan for your personal trading account, but if you are going to continue to trade that account and the Prop Firm, then first of all, you would not need to have 2 separate Sierra Chart accounts. But, you should use two different Sierra Chart installations, one that will be connected to your personal account and one that is connected to your Prop Firm account (this assumes that the CQG accounts are different). Refer to the following for how to install a second Sierra Chart:
