My chart shows OCO orders correctly until filled. Then the original entry line disappears. The target and stop lines are still present.

After the position is closed, there are no connecting lines from the entry to the exit position. If I enter a new position, connecting lines appear from the old exit position to the new entry location. When I close that position, a line that looks like a new entry appears, temporarily.

Any ideas?

The price on the original order returns and lingers for a while, the P/L fluctuates on the ghost position.

Any ideas?

Is there a database of old files I can purge?

First, there could not be any issues regarding this in version 2457. This is not version specific.

We are not sure whether are you are referring to working order lines, the position line, or order fills displayed on a chart or the connecting lines between order fills. This is just not clear to us.

We need to know specifically what you are referring to.

Sierra Chart does not use any kind of database file.

This information here is what you need if you are referring to order fills:

I generated a new chart specifically to show this issue. The recording captures the price line anomaly exactly.

It does not capture the entry-exit anomaly. This is where old entries/exits show a immediate connecting line to a new entry. I suppose this has something to do with the age of the chart? Not sure.

see enclosed.

Same problem here. AFter an order gets filled on the DOM the entry price line disappears and attached orders can't be moved anymore. Using IB TWS as execution broker.

Regarding post #5 make sure you are not using the Order Fill Calculated Position. This is explained here:
Trading Information Windows: Incorrectly Reported Trade Position Quantity

Also that video is barely legible. The image is tiny and heavily degraded. It is really of unacceptable quality.

Also update Sierra Chart to the current version:
Software Download: Fast Update

Not sure the update is relevant but we want you to do that anyway.

In answer to post #7 I have been using IB for years fully aware of your view that there will be problems, however this particular one never occurred.
Maybe rather than brushing off every question related to IB you could at least try to help. What would your answer have been if I didnt mention I am using IB?
Am I the only one reporting this problem?
There seems to be also a connection issue with the latest SC version and TWS.
I'd appreciate your thoughts. Thanks

We would be able to reasonably help in this situation:
What would your answer have been if I didnt mention I am using IB?

Also it does not matter whether you tell us you are using Interactive Brokers because we know what service you are using and we always check in this case, and then determine what is the appropriate solution based upon the service being used.

In the case of Interactive Brokers, refer to:
Interactive Brokers Trading Service: Trade Position Line or Quantity Disappearing or Displaying Zero

Am I the only one reporting this problem?
No of course not. This is a common problem and documented.

and attached orders can't be moved anymore.
We cannot help with this.

These are the kinds of problems you will have with Interactive Brokers and we cannot help with them beyond the given documentation.

Our recommendation is to move to Teton order routing for trading CME group:
Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing

And then move to CQG for trading EUREX:
CQG Trading Platform Service

Regarding post #10, update Sierra Chart to the current version as we said before. And then if you still have the problem we need to do a remote assistance session. Please do not post any further videos.

About position line disappearing and unable to move working orders with IBKR : seems to be more a TWS issue than a SierraChart issue.
I had the same problem on EUREX with TWS several times last year : I solved it by switching to stable version of TWS instead of latest (File/Change version).
As the latest version is updated very often (every couple of days), sometimes the result is not fully functional.
No issue with SierraChart IMHO.
Just my two cents

With regards to Post #11

Thanks for your answer. I went back to version 2466 from 2476 and both problems are gone (the connectivity issue and the position line disappearing).
I will stay on 2466 for now and hope that this issue can be solved with new SC updates.

re Post #12, thanks for your comment, much appreciated. I was already on stable version as well.

On 2466. No change, no variation.

Problem persists.

What we identified is position updates seem to not be received in a sub instance. We did a basic test already and could not duplicate this issue but we will look into it thoroughly to understand why this could happen.

Regarding the connecting lines for order fills displayed on a chart not being accurately connected between fills, refer to:

I have the same problem of position line not displaying, when trading stocks with TWS.
Apparently, enabling Order Fill Calculated Position solves the problem, and the position line now appears.

Jagui1, I don't use it. Sierra support asked about that in post #8.

This is frustrating. I lose track of my entry. If I scale or add, it is irritating. If one uses the "average price" there is no longer any reference point.I have to draw one on the chart.

Thank you for letting me vent.

Well, it worked Sunday night, but just once for one trade. Now it is the same situation.
