Hello,

I use the AMP Broker and the SC Denali Data Feed.
I didn't connect to my live trading account for several months and so I lost the realtime data feed.
The Denali Data Feed I am getting now is delayed.
How can I get the real time data feed back again?

Please do not redirect me to this website, because that doesn't get me any further!

Please just tell me what I have to do, to get the real time data feed back!

You need to connect your Sierra Chart software to your CQG trading account. Follow the instructions at the following link:
CQG Trading Platform Service: Setup Instructions

If you are going to stay connected to your CQG account, then you will need to ensure you have the correct symbols for CQG. To do this, open your Chartbooks and select Edit >> Translate Symbols to Current Service.

If you are not going to stay connected to your CQG account, then be sure you remember to make the connection about once a month. You can view your verified until date at the following link:

For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service:

Thank you for your help!

This link takes me to the "Setup Instructions"
point 4 says:
4. "If you are trading on the CME Group or EUREX exchanges, then your broker must not authorize your CQG account for market data for these exchanges since that is not supported by Sierra Chart. This market data can only come from the Denali Exchange Data Feed."

As far as I know, AMP Futures is part of the CME Group
and point 4 says I only need the Denali Data Feed for this!

I am using service package 11 and when I set the Denali Data Feed set it up everything worked!

So what should I do now?

You are already setup for the Denali Exchange Data Feed. But you need to connect your Sierra Chart to your CQG account in order to make the verification for the CME Group non-professional requirement. Once you complete the setup to CQG you will be able to get the real-time data from our Denali Exchange Data Feed.

As noted above, you will just need to determine how you want to move forward with the connection to ensure you have the correct symbols based on your Current Selected Service.

So:
because I've only ever traded in the simulation account up to now, I couldn't remember that I have an account with CQG.
I figured I only had the Denali Data Feed and that's why I didn't understand that I had
"Current Selected Service (List)"
must switch from "SC Data - All Services"
to "CQG WebAPI"

The login data are not those of AMP Futures, as I needed them for Rithmic, but others that I got from AMP Futures.
It finally worked and SierraChart showed me the data in real time!

After that I switched it back to "SC Data - All Services [data]"
and there I finally have real time data feed again!

However, I got the crucial tip from AMP Futures Support:
"You should be connecting to CQGwebAPI."

Problem solved.

Thank you!

Recovering the real-time SC Denali Data Feed

For the easy way, just follow these steps!

1. Select File >> Disconnect

2. Select Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings

3.1. Current Selected Service (List)
switch from SC Data - All Services [data]
on
CQG WebAPI [trading]

3.2 Service Settings
Username >> "for CQG account" (you got it from your broker)
Password >> "for CQG account" (you got it from your broker)

4. OK

5. File >> Connect to Data Feed

6.1. Wait for the data to load and display in real time. Then again:

6.2. Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings

7.1. Set the Current Selected Service back to SC Data - All Services (or to the Trading Evaluator service)

7.2. Select: Common Settings >> Allow Support for Sierra Chart Data Feeds >> Yes

8. OK

9. File >> Connect to Data Feed

10. Now You should be getting the SC Denali Data Feed in real time again.

Notice
You have to do these steps once a month to keep getting real-time data!
You can work around this by staying permanently connected to CQG's real-time data, BUT
in order to be able to trade with it, you have to change the chart symbols for it!
To do this, follow this guide
Changing the Symbol of a Chart: Changing the Symbol of a Chart or Trade DOM Through Chart Settings

That was the summary of these two very long complicated and misleading guides:
Real-Time Exchange Data Feeds Available From Sierra Chart: Connecting Only Once a Month to Trading Account to Support CME Group Exchange Fees
CQG Trading Platform Service: Setup Instructions

I hope I could help you!
