Hello.

I am using nasdaq data, from denali exchange and the footprint charts, the numbers bars study is not normal. For example, look at this image of apple. it is completely screwed. The footprint is gapping. This is happening for all the stocks, like tsla, apple, even indices like spy and qqq.

Maybe this has something to do with the timer glitching, maybe it doesnt, but something isnt right. I am using the study: countdown timer, and it jumps and glitches on its own. Other than this, sierra runs fine.
Any suggestions?
Thank you.

In the screenshot you are showing pre-market data, so gaps and sporadic trade would be normal.
The timer is not glitching either, it is just updating based on trade activity.

Maybe volume is lower today too, due to thanksgiving weekend?

Edit: If the text color was black, you wouldn't see the zeros, which in the screenshot you clearly do.

The first thing to do is to make sure the time zone is set correctly for that chart:
Time Zone Setting

It needs to be US Eastern time or New York time.

You also need to set the Session Times to show the Day session only in US Eastern Time:
Chart Session Times

And then make sure that there is no volume filtering:
Chart Settings: Volume Filter (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Data Limiting >> Volume Filter Settings menu)

No, time zones have nothing to do with it, i dont think. The reason its like that is because i am in egypt at the moment. So i changed the time to make sense.
I do not have a volume filter, and also does the timer only update with trades? it wont update based on live time?
Ok, its also got nothing to do with this thanksgiving either, because this problem isnt just yesterday, its also the days before. I can scroll back and still get the same problem.

We do not understand this:
and also does the timer only update with trades? it wont update based on live time?

The chart updates as trades and quotes occur.

To answer the original question, if it is not due to the session times, or the time zone, then what you see is definitely correct. Understand this is NASDAQ TotalView data. If you have further questions contact NASDAQ. We definitely cannot provide further help.

OK, but but still, the footprint is gapping. That doesnt make sense. If no volume traded at a price level, surely a zero would print, and not a gap. right?
so there is nothing i could do to fix the gapping?
