SC team pls advice on the attached screenshot on the right, sub instance of my main SC connected to Denali, as you can see the CL didn't roll on the left, a separate installation of SC connected to the simulated feed (though data is Denali as well) and CL contract did roll what is correct? |

You will have to manually perform a rollover: Changing to a New Futures Contract Month It will not happen automatically based upon the Continuous Contract setting. well, this is the solution though I don't understand: 1. why it worked on 1 Denali but didn't work on the other Denali 2. why it didn't work in the first place same as it works for CME symbol rollover |

1. Check the settings in each installation for Chart >> Chart Settings >> Symbol >> Automatically Rollover Futures Symbol. Refer to the following: Chart Settings: Automatically Rollover Futures Symbol (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Symbol >> Symbol menu) 2. There are other items that can affect when the rollover occurs that could be set differently. Again, refer to the information in the above section that has links to those items. 1. as you can see from the attached screenshot in the first post, the "Chart >> Chart Settings >> Symbol >> Automatically Rollover Futures Symbol" is the same. 2. i read here: Changing to a New Futures Contract Month and here Chart Settings: Automatically Rollover Futures Symbol (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Symbol >> Symbol menu) and here General Settings Window: Detect Rollover Of Current Futures Contracts Symbols Based On Real Time Volume (Global Settings >> General Settings >> Charts >> Symbol) and could not find the setting "Detect Rollover Of Current Futures Contracts Symbols Based On Real Time Volume" CME assets' rollover is set the same in the "Chart >> Chart Settings >> Symbol >> Automatically Rollover Futures Symbol" and it does roll. can it be b/c this is CL which is monthly? |

The setting for "Detect Rollover of Current Futures Contracts Symbols Based on Real Time Volume" is in the settings windows as defined by the information in parentheses for the option. So it is located at "Global Settings >> General Settings >> Charts >> Symbol". Select the "Global Settings" menu and select the "General Settings" entry to open the General Settings window. Select the "Charts" page on that window and then scroll down (or view down) to the Symbol section on the page. The option is within that section on that page. -- In the end, we do not know one rolled and one did not. We do not see a reason for this to have occurred, but you have the information on what to do if it occurs again.
