We have had many reports, of Interactive Brokers users encountering this error message when Sierra Chart is downloading historical data: HD Request # 69 | Message from IB: End Date/Time: The date, time, or time-zone entered is invalid. The correct format is yyyymmdd hh:mm:ss xxx where yyyymmdd and xxx are optional. E.g.: 20031126 15:59:00 US/Eastern Note that there is a space between the date and time, and between the time and time-zone. If no date is specified, current date is assumed. If no time-zone is specified, local time-zone is assumed(deprecated). You can also provide yyyymmddd-hh:mm:ss time is in UTC. Note that there is a dash between the date and time in UTC notation. IB Error Code: 10314. Request ID: 200028. | 2022-09-06 19:33:45.693 Our only conclusion about this problem is Interactive Brokers must have made a change regarding the time zone string in the historical data request specifications. This has been specified as GMT in the request that Sierra Chart makes. We have now changed to this format in version 2434: yyyymmddd-hh:mm:ss This version is now available. Update instructions: Software Download: Fast Update If you have any further issues, let us know here. We did not yet test this because we are having a problem with the Java runtime environment. Sierra Chart has always been sending this format: yyyymmdd hh:mm:ss xxx And then uusers started having problems with this format. So according to the error message from TWS, in version 2434 we changed to the format with a - as is supported by Interactive Brokers This has solved the problem for users. Sierra Chart has been consistently providing the correct Date-Time format for historical data and our only conclusion is the GMT time zone is no longer being recognized but we do not know anything more than that. Interactive Brokers it is fully at fault with this problem. Not Sierra Chart. At this point you need to contact Interactive Brokers with the issue you have. Sierra Chart cannot solve it. We have done nothing wrong in the past, or the present. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users.
