Im pretty sure this feature isn't available (cant find out how to do it). But if its not, could I make a feature request?? The ability to apply the global settings to a DOM, and then be able to adjust them specifically for that DOM only. Example... 1. Ive created the perfect layout for my DOMS. But now....I want each DOM to have a different colour for the Price Values Scale. 2. So Id like to be able to "Apply the global settings" (copy them to non-global settings for that DOM), and then be able to adjust the colour of just that one dom. Right now, unchecking the global, makes the dom appear as the default settings again. Id like to simply be able to clone the global settings to the DOM first, and then adjust. Is this a possible feature to request?? I know the workaround is to edit a non-global DOM, and then duplicate and change. But it would be nice to be able to just quickly apply/clone the global settings for every new DOM, so that I dont have to do that. Or maybe another good way to do it, would be to have each setting have its own checkbox that says "Overwrite global" just for that one. So lets say you have global checked for the settings on a DOM. Then I would highlight and change "Price Values Scale", and check the checkbox that says "overwrite global for this value" or something along those lines. The implementation details I guess would be decided by how its progrzammed obviously. Thanks Kylie Date Time Of Last Edit: 2022-07-27 11:47:03

There is not a way to do what you are asking for at this time. Therefore, we have made this a feature request. Keep in mind that we do not know when we will be able to get to any particular request. We believe this request is resolved by the option for "Copy from Global" in the chart specific Graphics settings combined with the ability to save multiple global graphics settings. This then allows you to setup the Trade DOM as you want it, copy those settings to the Global settings, and then save that specific setup as a global pre-set. Then when you open a new Trading DOM, you would load that pre-set for the Trading DOM into the Global Graphics, then copy that to the Trading DOM, and then select whatever global pre-set is desired. Refer to the following: Graphics Settings: Saving and Loading Multiple Graphics Settings Configurations Graphics Settings: Copy to Global (Chart >> Graphics Settings >> Graphics Settings for Chart - Colors) Graphics Settings: Copy from Global (Chart >> Graphics Settings - Chart) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Somewhat related. Is there a way to change the default settings ie. layout, columns (pulling/stacking/MBO) in a DOM? When I File > Open Trading DOM for Chart I can custom load the studies and get the colors loaded up but how can I have a default column layout and control bar added to new DOM's that I open? Having to add columns and change the layout every time is a pain and in certain chartbooks I don't want/need to have a DOM left open. |

Regarding this, refer to: Using Chart Templates Let us look this over some more because we might need to add a new button, to be able to open a Trade DOM based upon the configuration of a chart. You can add / remove via Customize Trade DOM Columns but there isn't a button to set Default, which would be fantastic. Everyone has their specific DOM setup (you can get there partly with the Chart Template > Study Collections) but everytime you close a DOM you lose all the visible columns and need to go back through adding the columns again.

You need to use the concept of a "Chart Template" as referenced in post #5. In this case, you need to keep the Trading DOM as you want it open and part of a Chartbook. Then you can duplicate that Trading DOM and set it up from there.
