I just got my broker hooked up and trying to get things working on sierra. I see I'm able to select my real trade account instead of sim now and have signed up for denali $11 CME data plan but not getting any data coming through. It's already been some minutes and I'm not sure what to do... already changed current selected service to Teton CME order routing and picked my clearing firm.

Everything looks good on your account.

The first thing to be aware of is that you only activated the CME with Market Depth for NonProfessional Trading Accounts. This is just the CME exchange and not the full CME Group, so if you are trying to get data for Oil, Gold, or U.S. Treasuries (for examples) then you will not be getting the data for those, as they are not traded on the CME Exchange.

Make sure you are opening a chart for the E-Mini S&P 500 Futures (ES) and see if you are having an issue with that data.

If you are, then check the setting for Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Common Settings >> Allow Support For Sierra Chart Data Feeds is set to Yes.

If it is not, then change it to Yes, select OK to get off that page and then select File >> Disconnect followed by File >> Connect to Data Feed.

Keep in mind that most products on the CME have a trading break right now between 16:00 and 17:00 Central US time. So you will have to wait until after 17:00 to see if you are getting the real-time data properly or not.

I think I got it working.

I'm still on the free trial while doing this so maybe that had something to do with this.
On the free trial I was on the ticker "MESM22_CME" but made a new chart from scratch through find symbol and this time it was "MESM22_FUT_CME"

Not sure if there's a difference between the 2 but data is loading.

Currently you are on package 10.

Our servers show that your Current Selected Service is set to Teton CME Order Routing.

Keep in mind that symbols are different for each service. When you were on the Trial, your Current Selected Service was most likely SC Data - All Services, in which case the symbol of MESM22_CME would have been correct. Now that you are connected to the Teton Order Routing, the symbol of MESM22_FUT_CME is correct.

If you have other charts or chartbooks that need to have their symbols updated, just open the chartbooks and select Edit >> Translate Symbols To Current Service and the software will update the symbols for all the charts for what is needed for the current service.
