Hi, I have been trying to activate real time data for Sierra, and no matter what i am trying it still is not working. I want to use it for charting only, I do not need order execution. I want to view U.S. equities, I paid for the Denali data for a month. And went through the set up procedure, and no matter what i do it still wont show real time data. I would like to actually speak to someone that could help me set this platform up, and not be linked to a youtube video or a Site FAQ link. The website is horribly organized and incredibly confusing. At this point i have paid for 3 different feeds, a DENALI feed, nasdaq , and some other one i dont even remember, i dont know which of them i need, or if i need any of them at all. Please can someone actually walk me through this set up. -James |

Your setup is correct for getting the US Equities data from our NASDAQ TotalView exchange. Therefore, make sure you are selecting, or entering, a symbol that has the -NQTV suffix. For example, if you want data for Apple, you would need to use the symbol AAPL-NQTV. Make sure your symbols are setup properly. If you still have an issue after this, then follow these instructions to get us your Message Log: Follow the instructions here to clear the Message Log: Message Log: Clearing the Message Log Open a chart for the symbol you have an issue with. Tell us that symbol of the chart. Disconnect from the data feed with "File >> Disconnect". Connect to the data feed with "File >> Connect to Data Feed". After the connection and after about 10 seconds, provide a copy of the Message Log following these instructions: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=PostingInformation.php#MessageLog We will then determine what the problem is. You definitely did not pay for anything you do not need: At this point i have paid for 3 different feeds, a DENALI feed, nasdaq , and some other one i dont even remember, i dont know which of them i need, or if i need any of them at all.
You have paid for Service Package 12 which includes the Denali Exchange Data Feed. And the NASDAQ exchange fee and not anything else. Your account has 34 USD available credit on it. Thank you, Do i need to do anything outside of paying for the Denali feed to access it? or will it automatically be utilized if im connected to the "SC Data - All services" tab. Dont really understand how to seperate what im seeing with denali, vs The nasdaq feed. Things are working intraday now, but I am not sure which feed i "Need" to have for equities You definitely did not pay for anything you do not need:

As long as you have the option for Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Common Settings >> Allow Support for Sierra Chart Data Feeds set to Yes, then you will be getting the NASDAQ TotalView data regardless of what your Current Selected Service is set to. So as long as you are on Package 10, 11 or 12 and have enough funds in your account to renew the Exchange Fee (on the first of each month) along with your Sierra Chart Usage Time, then you will continue to have access to the real-time NASDAQ data. Thank you but my question is still left unanswered a bit. What IS the Denali feed. And do I NEED It for trading equities. If so how do I access it and make sure it’s showing me the correct data FROM Denali feed?

The Denali Exchange Data Feed is one of the two data feeds from Sierra Chart. The Denali feed includes real-time data from the CME Group, EUREX, CFE, NASDAQ TotalView, and FairX. Therefore, if you are wanting real-time data from any of these exchanges, then this is the data feed you would use. In this case, you are wanting stock data, therefore that would be the NASDAQ TotalView exchange. As noted in our previous post, as long as you have "Allow Support for Sierra Chart Data Feeds" set to "Yes" and you have the exchange active and you are entering the symbols correctly (adding -NQTV to the exchange symbol) then you will be getting the data.
