Hello,

My Rithmic historical data is being consumed as soon as the new week start. Last week on Monday it start downloading the data but suddenly stopped downloading and gave an error that access denied. Today I was expecting that everything will be fixed as the new week quota from Rithmic will be available but same thing repeated. When I started the program for 10-15 min it showed that downloading historical data but suddenly gave the error regarding download quota / access denied.

Last week I contacted Rithmic in this regard and this was the reply from them....

"Below is the some information for users who hit their historical data limit. This limit resets Sunday afternoon. During the time that they are suspended, users are able to see live data updates and places orders, but features which use historical data (e.g. charts,) will not load. This limit is rarely extended.
Our users are limited to 40 Gigabytes per week of historical data, beginning on Sunday morning. There may be a couple of factors at play, so keep in mind the following:
The typical R|Trader Pro user uses less than 100 Megabytes in a week to load charts, even if they load a chart going back to 2011.
Some programs will not make the most efficient use of calls to our database. So for example if you are looking at 180 days of data, you are probably looking at what we call a Daily Bar. We support calls to our database to get Daily Bars, but some programs download raw ticks (which could be millions of messages per day) just to create a Daily Bar, instead of asking for the compressed bar from our server. What gets written to disk in this case might be much less than what is pulled from the server.
Some programs have errors, where they might ask for a millions ticks, and then ask for the same ticks again, and again, and again. In cases like this, we have to defend our system as such requests can crowd our other customers out of the system."

I have checked sierra chart help and reduced the 1-tick data limit to 3 days in trade service settings. Also attaching the message log file.

Please help me to resolve this happening again and again. I can't close Sierra now for the whole week as if I close it the missing data will not download.

Sierra Chart is very efficient with historical data. It only requests the data that is missing in the chart. There is nothing special to do. All of this is just automatic unless you manually re-download the data.

We recommend using the Denali Exchange Data Feed to avoid any download limits because there are none:
Denali Exchange Data Feed

However, refer to:

Hi,

I have a funded live account with GFF broker, and they provide CQG data feed. Is there any need of API for CQG? because I will need to pay for subscription if there is a need of an API to connect to CQG.

Further just want to make sure that if I pay CME group (I trade ES only) exchange monthly fee, I don't need to pay any further fee as Denali historical and live data included in my service package 11, please correct if I am wrong.

Thanks,

Is there any need of API for CQG?

If you are asking if you need to setup your CQG account for trading, then the answer is "Yes", as you need to have a live, funded, futures trading account to which Sierra Chart can connect, in order to qualify for the non-professional exchange fees from the CME Group. Refer to the following for more information on this requirement:
Real-Time Exchange Data Feeds Available From Sierra Chart: Understanding and Accessing Data From the CME, CBOT, NYMEX, COMEX Exchanges

But you do not need the data from CQG.

In terms of connecting your Sierra Chart to your CQG account, follow these instructions:
CQG Trading Platform Service: Setup Instructions

Further just want to make sure that if I pay CME group (I trade ES only) exchange monthly fee, I don't need to pay any further fee as Denali historical and live data included in my service package 11, please correct if I am wrong.

You also need to pay the exchange fee for the exchange that you activate. When you are ready, please go through the Setup Instructions for the Denali Exchange Data Feed at the following link:
Denali Exchange Data Feed: *Setup Instructions: CME/CBOT/NYMEX/COMEX Exchanges*

Means after subscribing Denali. My funding company, APEX, account setting will remain as is but the data feed will be Denali (for both historical and live) instead of APEX data feed which is Rithmic?

Make sure all of the data in the charts is from the Denali Data Feed:

Re-download all the data in the chart by going to the chart and selecting "Edit >> Delete All Data and Download". You just need to do this once per symbol and not for each chart.
