Spreadsheet auto populate formula isn't working

I couldn't find any documentation on this. I have one spreadsheet if I enter any formula in a cell, it auto populates down the column. On a second spreadsheet I enter a formula it does not populate down the column (just stays in the cell). Then you have to manually copy/paste the formulas down the column. The spreadsheet where the formula auto-populates down a column is one of the Spreadsheet Studies. The spreadsheet where the formula does not auto-populate down a column is a regular spreadsheet (opened by selecting File >> New Spreadsheet). This is just the way these different items work. For the column to auto-populate, you must be on the sheet# that matches the spreadsheet study's Formula Source Sheet Number setting.

I'm having a similar problem. I renamed the sheet for the sake of organization, however it is no longer auto populating the cells in rows beneath. I've changed "Formula sheet specification type" to name, and then entered the name I have given the sheet, however it is no longer working.

In Cell D1 is information on what is being used for the Formula Sheet. What does this state in your sheet? For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing

Okay, so I have duplicated the chart that I was working on to a new chart book. I'm using this chart book to backtest, so wanted to make it as lean as possible, only duplicating the chart necessary. However, it will not seem to reference the specified sheet. The spreadsheet study wants to use spreadsheet 1. All of my progress is on spreadsheet 13. Is there a way to copy it all over? changing the "formula sheet number" to the sheet I'm working on seems to have no effect.

You do not want to have two different charts referencing the same sheet within the spreadsheet, or this will create issues and not give proper results. You can have the same Formula Source, but if you are going to be backtesting/replaying, then this will not work either. Therefore, you should use a different sheet altogether and copy the formulas from the one sheet to the new one. Also, I'm finding that if I "rename" the sheet, auto-populate ceases to work. I have several sheets in this spreadsheet study, and I'd like to give them names for clarification. The data still shows up on the chart, but it will no longer auto-populate when I add data/formulas to row 3. To be clear there is only one chart referencing this sheet.

It does not work like you are thinking. When you rename the sheet, it is actually renaming the sheet, but the Spreadsheet Study is still referencing the sheet by the number, so the system creates the new sheet, which is not associated with a study, so it is a "standard" sheet. Meanwhile, the Spreadsheet Study creates a new sheet for its purposes. Basically you can not rename a sheet when using the Spreadsheet Study. The only way to do this would be to name the Formula Sheet prior to starting the Spreadsheet Study.
