Hello,
As of 1/28/2022 and regarding the use of Sierra Chart (SC) while trading Futures in a ‘Evaluation Account’ from (or of) Leeloo Trading (a ‘Funding Evaluator Service’)....

I’m unclear and am thus seeking clarity around the:

‘SC + Leeloo context’
all ‘components’ surrounding said context
how all components of said context properly come together to make said context ‘work’.

Relative to the above said context, my current understanding of all parties involved (and their respective potential components) is as follows:

Sierra Chart (SC)

1) SC platform (‘SC platform’)
2) SC’s Denali Exchange Data Feed (‘denali feed’)
3) SC’s Service Package 10 (‘SP 10’)

CME Group

4) CME Group Exchange Fees + Non-Professional rates (‘non pro rates’)

Introducing Broker (IB)

5) Live Funded Futures trading account with a supported Trading service (‘funded account’)

Leeloo

6) Leeloo Evaluation Account (‘Eval account’ or ‘Eval’)

Rithmic

7) Rithmic connection (‘rithmic connection’)
8) Rithmic Bridge Files (‘bridge’ or ‘bridge files’)
9) Rithmic’s R-Trader Pro platform / front end (‘r-trader’)

As to what I currently lack clarity around:

A) ‘funded account’

Is it an absolute non-negotiable that I (as a SC user and Leeloo trader) must have a funded account (of which can be verified so as to then qualify for no-pro rates) while subscribed to SP 10 and using the SC platform (for charting AND execution purposes) to trade in a Eval account?

B) ‘bridge files’

Are bridge files (available for download at and spoken to in Leeloo’s ‘Sierra Chart Connection Guide’) required to be downloaded and saved (to the ‘Rim’ folder of my SC installation that lives on my C: drive) when using ANY version of the SC platform (from v3.46 to current v2348 that was released on 2022-01-20)?

Not knowing how the above text will ultimately be formatted upon submission of this request, I've attached a PDF that includes all of the above text. The text contained in the PDF is formatted in a clean and consistent manner.

Looking forward to what you all come back with.

Best,

Kevin

A. Yes definitely this is required.

B. The bridge files are no longer needed. So disregard that completely.

Also have a look at our own simulated futures trading service:

Understood as to A. and B. answers. Thanks for the clarity.

As to fundamental differences between Sierra's Simulated Futures Trading Service ('Service') and Sierra's Trade Simulation ('Feature'), am I understanding correctly (??) that some (but not all?) of the fundamental differences between the Service and the Feature are:

C. The Service does facilitate Trading Account monitoring and sharing of trades, trade results as well as trade statistics with another user or trade evaluator (via read-only) whereas the Feature does not facilitate said sharing.

D. The Service does facilitate Account Balance Tracking whereas the Feature does not facilitate or accommodate Account Balance Tracking

E. The Service is used (or can only be used?) for or during the current session (RTH or ETH) of a given instrument whereas the Feature is used (or can only be used?) for the replay of any session (RTH or ETH) prior to or other than the current session of a given instrument.

F. When trading with the Service, trading is performed thru a remote server where all history is recorded on said remote server. Because trading is performed thru a remote server, there is virtually no loss of said trading activity that's performed thru said remote server. As a result, there is little to nothing that would prevent a trading evaluator from looking at and seeing any all trade activity that's been performed thru said remote server (should a trader choose to share his trading activity, results and statistics with said trade evaluator).

G. When trading with the Feature, trading is performed 'locally' on a user's machine and within the SC instance that's been installed on said user's machine. Because said trading has been performed locally, said trading activity does not get transmitted to a remote server. Furthermore, because said trading that's performed locally does not get transmitted to a remote server, there is no way for trading results (that stem from trading locally vs trading thru a remote server) to be viewable by a trade evaluator.

The above said in (G.)...trading results stemming from ‘local trading’ (vs ‘remote server trading’) of which are provided and able to be analyzed through the Trade>>Trade Activity Log...can or cannot be saved / downloaded / exported so as to then be shared with a trade evaluator should a trader want and choose to share results with a trade evaluator??

In closing, should I be missing other key fundamental differences between Sierra's Simulated Futures Trading Service ('Service') and Sierra's Trade Simulation ('Feature'), please let me know what they are. Additionally, should my C., D., E., F., and G. be less appropriate for this thread and instead, more appropriate for its own thread, please advise so I can act accordingly going forward.

Thank you.

Yes this is all a correct understanding.

Regarding this, Whether you are using the Service or Feature, the data can be saved/exported from the Trade Activity Log and shared.
