Good day. I upgraded to a new laptop in hopes of getting better performance with DOM replay. The NQ Dom in the chartbook remains choppy. I also noticed that the NQ DOM takes significantly more time to load prior to replay. The highlighted price and inside prints are my primary concern. I have uploaded a video to demonstrate the issue. Thank you. https://www.sierrachart.com/Download.php?Folder=TicketingSystem&download=56235 |

The only item you can adjust for this is the Chart Update Interval. Setting this to lower value for a Trade DOM should not impact overall performance. Refer to the following: Chart Settings: Chart Update Interval in Milliseconds (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Display >> Chart Update Interval menu) There are too many factors involved to say why the NQ chart is taking longer to load. Most likely it is just because there is a lot more data in the files. We do not know if this is due to limitations entered on your part, or the data itself or other items. Also, make sure that the Number of Days to Load is the same between the Trading DOMs (it looks like it offhand, but we did not count to be certain). Hello, The update interval is not the issue when trading during RTH. The problems arise only during replay: Dom Highlighted price (current price) and inside prints (market depth aswell) are not synchronized during replay Inside prints lag behind current price. Further to this, current price jumps ie; 3 points (NQ) but I cannot see highlighted price move through from the lower to higher price (gaps). This is awkward as I cannot follow the flow. I have set the update interval to as low as 10 and as high as 200 to try to correct the replay synchronization issue. This has not worked. I have also setup a new chart and DOM for NQ following directions on Sierra' website. This has not corrected the issue either. Are there specific settings other than the update interval that can be causing the issue? ** This problem was experienced by another member in 2016 in this post : DOM replay I don't know if the problem was resolved as the thread ended without confirmation of resolution. The difference is, I'm using Denali and the other member was using another data feed. Please advise. Thank you. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2021-10-31 02:07:12

You cannot make reference to other threads, those are just not going to be relevant for various reasons. The first thing to do is to re-download the data and make sure it is tick by tick data and do not use any other data feed other than SC Data-All Services. Set Sierra Chart to a Tick by Tick Data Configuration. Follow the instructions here to do this: Tick by Tick Data Configuration Re-download all the data in the chart by going to the chart and selecting "Edit >> Delete All Data and Download". You just need to do this once per symbol and not for each chart. And follow the instructions here to re-download market depth data: Market Depth Historical Graph: Downloading Of Historical Market Depth Data Also replay at a slower speed like 1 or 2 for testing.
