SC builds charts incorrectly after it finishes downloading data.

1. Disconnect from data feed,
2. Open chart settings and set an earlier date in the From: cell,
3. Press Ok, SC will connect to data feed, wait until SC will finish downloading process.
4. Press Reload And Recalculate, chart will look fine.

We just tried the process you described, but we are unable to reproduce what you see.

We notice that the times for the bars that are incorrect are all zeros. The last time we saw something like this, it was caused by a Custom Study that had not been updated properly for changes to the functions for Date/Time in ACSIL. If you have a custom study on the chart, then try removing it and see if the data is correct without that study.

Otherwise, we really do not know why this occurred. To fix the issue of the data being incorrect, select Chart >> Delete All Data and Download to get the new data.

If you can figure out what the particular steps are to reproduce, then we can find a fix for this. But the steps as you outlined are not enough, there must be something else occurring (we even used the same symbol).

I can reproduce it for any symbol.

it was caused by a Custom Study

It was a clean chart, opened with 'Open Intraday Chart' from Find Symbol menu.

To fix the issue of the data being incorrect, select Chart >> Delete All Data and Download to get the new data.

Did you read clause 4 and the 1st line in the 1st post? The problem is not with data, but the way SC puts it on the screen after SC finishes downloading data.

I'm attaching Message Log, starting from the moment when I changed chart symbol, before changing From date and pressing Ok:

We cannot reproduce any issue. Provide that chart by following these instructions:

I managed to reproduce it in a new chartbook for 3 symbols I never loaded data before.

Looks like already opened and hidden charts of the same symbol have something to do with it (this is just my guess).

And again, chart looks fine, after Reload And Recalculate was pressed: http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1634553750249.png
Also, hidden and range charts have these settings: https://i.imgur.com/aKgFcf4.png

When you state that you change the From: field, which one are you changing? The one in the Date Range in File or the one in the Use Date Range field?

Changing the From in the Use Date Range should not make any difference if you are entering a date prior to the Date Range in File. But again, we tried with your chartbook and are still unable to reproduce, so we want to ensure that we are following the exact same steps you are.

Of course in the 2nd step in the 1st post I'm talking about From cell in the 'Date Range in File' setting, because changing it will force SC to start downloading data.

And in the 1st post chart settings screenshot shows From date 2021-07-27, in the next line I say "downloading from 2021-07-01".

Try these steps for a new symbol with no data:

1. Create range bars chart and hidden 1 hour chart for it (so you first finish downloading initial data in accordance with 'Maximum Historical Intraday Days to Download' setting) with these settings: https://i.imgur.com/aKgFcf4.png,
2. Then open new chart from Find Symbol menu, change its setting to 1-0-0 Days-Mins-Secs,
3. Perform steps from the 1st post for the chart with 1-0-0 Days-Mins-Secs setting.

Ok. But which "From" cell are you changing?

Both, this I forgot to mention, sorry.

For the chart with 1-0-0 Days-Mins-Secs setting:
1. In the Use Date Range setting set an earlier From date only, comparing to the one in the From cell in the Date Range in File, like this: https://i.imgur.com/MFD8jaA.png
2. Then do steps in the 1st post, after you opened additional range and hidden charts, set From cell in the Date Range in File setting to the same, as in Use Date Range: https://i.imgur.com/rXz7xYo.png

This can be seen in the 'Chart settings before data downloading' screenshot in the 1st post, I just forgot to write it down.

We have identified two different causes of the issues you encountered in this unusual scenario and they will be resolved in the next release.

I see bugs are getting fixed asap, could you fix that Keyboard Commands In The Spreadsheet Window too with the same pace, Engineering Team?

Maybe even fix that first? Definitely I'd like to see keyboard commands fixed for spreadsheets first.
