I'm having an issue with Flattening when I'm long or short a futures contract. When I'm in a trade with a take profit and stop loss bracket and I flatten to exit my position, only my bracket orders are canceled, but I'm still long or short the contract. I have to press flatten again to exit my contract with a Market order. How do I change it so that Flatten exits my position with a market order and also cancels my bracket orders?

Refer to the following setting:
Global Trade Settings Windows: Hold Market Order Until Pending Cancel Orders Are Confirmed (Global Settings >> General Trade Settings >> General)
For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service:

Regarding the bracket orders that don't cancel when I flatten a position, could you please tell me how to disable this feature if that is possible? Also, there is a window that pops up when I try to flatten a position, so not only am I long a naked contract without bracket orders, I also cannot see my position on the price ladder because it is blocked by the popup window. It's not clearly explained in the setting link you sent previously. Thank you

Sorry, when I flatten a position the bracket orders cancel but I am not marketed out of my position. When I flatten a position, I am long a contract without bracket orders and can't see my position because of the popup window. Thank you.

You shouldn't need to cancel attached orders. Once the position is flattened then they cancel automatically. It does it for me, I trade thru IB.

Take a look at this for your order confirmation window:

Basic Trading and the Trade Window: Main/C >> Menu >> Order Confirmations (chart specific)

Double check everything with sim trades.

I'm still have issues when I flatten a position with my "Flatten and Cancel" hotkey that my bracket orders are canceled but the order remains and is not flattened. It's causing me to lose money. Under General Trade Settings the "Hold Market Order Until Pending Cancel Orders Are Confirmed," is set at "NO." I don't know how to fix this.

Change the setting for Hold Market Order Until Pending Cancel Orders Are Confirmed to Yes.

If you are not familiar with how to change these items in the new windows, then refer to the following:
Settings Windows Interface: Toggle Field (Working with Sierra Chart Windows >> Selection Specific Options)
For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service:

Thank you. The reason why I had the "Hold Market Order Until Pending Cancel Orders Are Confirmed" set to No is that when it was set to Yes, it would not allow me to scale out of a position 1 contract at a time. When I was long 2 contracts and I tried scale-out by selling one contract at Market I would get an error message saying "Unsufficient Margin." Can you please let me know how I can scale out of a position when having the "Hold Market Order Until Pending Cancel Orders Are Confirmed" set to "Yes." Thank you.

Thank you. Yes, I have the "Support Scale-In" and "Support Scale-Out" functions enabled in the Orders Menu but for some reason, it still doesn't allow me to scale out when I have the "Hold Market Order Until Pending Cancel Orders are Confirmed," set to "Yes."

Regarding post #9 we need to see the rejection message you are getting under the described conditions when the market order is being held until the pending cancel orders are canceled. Instructions:
Support Board Posting Information: Providing Lines From Trade Service Log

We also need to know the position quantity and side, and the quantity of the Attached Orders at the time.
